Are all the map packs free?

Can I link my xbox live gamertag and use it for Halo 2 PC or do I make a new account?

thanks for any info...yea this will be my first ever pc game so thats why i know nothing

I really hope you haven't bought it yet, you're best off getting something else. Besides Games for Window Live having issues and just sucking on General, and Halo 2 Vista Custom games crashing. It's not worth it. I would suggest you pick up the Orange Box, Counter-Strike Source, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Battlefield 2 and 2142.

It's not bad it's not good. First of all it is a Port of a Xbox game, the graphics haven't been updated much. There is a slight mouse lag. Everything is mapped like it is on a Xbox 360 controller even if you use a Mouse/Keyboard. There is roughly less than 500 people playing the game online. The multiplayer is okay, but you have the same game types and maps over and over again.

If you want a solid FPS PC game to play pick up the original Halo the game has somewhere around 7000 people playing the game online it's like 20 bucks

oh...yea that does kind of suck...well the graphics wouldnt bother me and I'd be playing on a 360 controller anyway but the online population would kill it

halo 1 is easy to just download, but I prefer halo ce, cuz it have custom maps like cmt snowgrove.
about halo 2 vista. well its beter than xbox version and you can get custom maps to halo 2 vista too. no need to pay for mappack( there is no mappacks ) all maps inclouded in game,
and yes you can use you xbox gametag, by the way only reason why there is crashings for halo 2 vista is cuz there is hacker caled gunmonkey80

There is no hacker, crashing Halo 2, it's Games for Window Live Crashing itself. And If he wants Custom Edition he still needs to buy Halo PC and use the CD key

All I ask is that you don't try to capture me.

Downloading multiplayer PC games is silly; griefers use them as getaway cards and their CD keys get banned from lots of servers.

And yes, H2V is a bad port and a subpar game. Halo CE is twice the game for half the price.

This is the average H2 Fanboy.
Xfire: JacobGRocks.
50 in H2/H3? Great, but you still fail at this.

1. Yes, it is very quick as it places you in a game.

2. they come with H2V

3 Yes, log in with Live ID.

Also, it is a good game, i have it.

It runs great with like no slowdown, btw, on my GTX 260. And it isnt a bad port as it allows custom maps and has better graphics than the xbox version.

thanks for all the info guys...but one more thing...does H2V have any matchmaking (ranked playlists) like halo 2 for xbox did?

Nope

This is an old account iDarkWint3r is my new Bungie.net user.

Halo 2 Vista has Quickmatch A.K.A Matchmaking. But it does not have the features of Matchmaking. All it does is select you a random custom game.No Ranks etc.I would like you to download Halo CE. way better.

Edit:Halo CE FTW!I have it LOL
