If you would like to hear the list of the ways technologies have failed to make life easier, press 3

As I recall, there are only 6 people in your squad...

in some of the cut scene footage, there shows many more than 6 pods leave the carrier and fall towards earth....

do they all just disappear/die in/during the drop?

or do some make it to the covenant ship as initially intended...

is it possible that some could make surprise appearances in the game?

They were in seperate squads sent to take out the prophet of regret's carrier, and not a part of the rookies mission. Unlikely that they will be in the game.

well there were human prisoners in high charity that you must rescue but.... they are most likely a coincidence, cause bungie's not that good.

they most likely died, probably caught in the blast of the slipspace jump, and a lot of the pods probably fell into the water, maybe a few got sucked into slipspace and were then lost in space.

All of the ODSTs were separated, as the EMP burst from Truth's Carrier sent them all into random directions, it's likely you won't see them in the game.

maybe people should stop asking "what happens" and simply play the game when it comes out.

They most likely died as a result of the impact. The Rookie's squad was lucky. But I'm glad the teaser shows more than six pods; my fan fiction will make sense when I get to New Mombasa.

I think that you'll have some contact with them... that's probably how Bungie is figuring the co-op.

It's loads of fun to be able to say "I knew it!"

Okay here we go, the ODSTs were headed for Regret's carrier. Dare's squad was farther away in accordance with her secret mission. Most of the pods are assumed to have either:
1. Been obliterated by the blast.
2. Malfunctioned and smashed into the ground/water at Mach 7.
3. Landed on the carrier.
4. Landed in New Mombassa and survived.
They are arranged in order of likeliness.
