Subject: halo 3 odst hornet/banshee?

When do you ever see an ODST pilot a Hornet? Do you mean the actual Hornet Pilots that look similar to ODSTs?

It is possible for ODST's to drive hornets so let's not be surprised if they have a part were you do in the campaign. Because In the level The Covenant you can see ODST's driving hornets.

ODSTs will pilot Hornets on The Covenant, but I suspect that this isn't confirmation that ODSTs are trained to use all vehicles (just as Marines use Ghosts and Wraiths). But I don't see any reason why the 2 vehicles wouldn't be in ODST as useable rides, there is footage of the Banshee in the trailer and it looks like it is being piloted by an ODST.

-I was here

the arguments for no banshee is that you cant get one with out jacking and marines cant fly covennant technology yet in halo ce, they had banshees laying on the ground and in the ark, you clearly see marines driving the prowlers and choppers, so yeah it is possible to pilot a banshee. and as for the hornet, i got an odst to fly me around on the covennant(yes it was an odst, i killed the pilots) so why wouldnt we be able to fly one? also, i doubt bungie would be jack asses and not let us use one so yeah, if there is one in the game, you could probably use it. oh and odst's know how to control and redirect a pod plummeting thru the atmosphere at 10000 miles an hour, if u ask me, thats waaay harder than using some joysticks or somethin to steer a hornet and pull a trigger/press a button to shoot

Who is more foolish, the child afraid of the dark or the man afraid of the light?

People seem to be forgetting that in the level The Covenant (I think) ODST's are always the pilots that get out for the master chief. I think there will be some, which is cool.

Also, I believe there aren't any "average" ODST's because they are specially trained, but then again I think the people who drive the Hornets have different helmets, which may mean they are specially trained to drive them. O.o Who knows.

I'm talking about that first page btw, I can see now that people knew about the simmilarities on the second page... my bad.

Ok...if the flood can drive a wraith, scorpian, warthog, and ghost like on Halo 2. I think an elite ODST soilder can piolet a hornet. But not a banshee.

In Soviet Russia, Halo plays YOU!

I doubt you'll be able to fly either of them because...
1. Banshees are alien technology and the ODSTs wouldn't have the foggiest as how to fly one
2. Piloting a Hornet would require years of training (i imagine) so your average ODSTs wouldn't be able to fly them

Has that ever stopped Master Chief? NOO!
