Heres what I think. I think that Bungie would never make a game where the story and characters have been alraedy been created by another person in a novel. I think the Spartans in the banner are SPARTAN-II's but, they are the second group of SPARTAN-II's, trained by CPO Mendez after John and the other Spartans completed their training at 14 years old. This means Bungie can do what they want with the characters, armour and story without contradicting the novels because no one knows anything about the second group of SPARTAN-II's.

(fyi : I haven't read GoO... so don't flame me XD I have no idea of the timeline).

I dont get waht you just said. But just so you know there are 28 years between the original SPARTAN-II's being trained and Reach being attacked. Plenty of time for the next SPARTAN-II's to be fully trained.

not to burst your personal reality Sanjeev, but no one can prove one way or another what they are. At least not with the current information so stop trying to talk like what you say is fact.

Perfectly put Bam417. I'm fed up of people putting threads that say things like 'definitive proof' in the title.

Rule 6: Respect the Admins

“It’s their website, and they can do whatever the hell they like with it. You’re a guest, and hassling them about how they run things is akin to going round your Auntie’s house and curling one out in her tea-pot.”

Yea, I didn't phrase my words properly. My bad.

I apologize to the dudes above me. I get frustrated with people like that too. In fact, right now typing this out, I'm looking at the Top Forum Threads and a particular thread has me raging.

The guy on the leftmost side definitely doesn't look like a Spartan. Hell no.

That could work, but time travel is a bunch of bull. The only way this could happen:

The planet at the end of H3 is Reach. (Big One)
Chief and Cortana land on it.
They discover living Spartans.
We learn about them.

Lol. Why is everyone talking about time travel? The original SPARTAN-II's completed their training in 2524/2525 at the age of 14 and Reach was attacked in 2552. That means that if the new SPARTAN-II's would have 28 years to be selected and trained and the Spartans in the trailer sound like adults to me; probably about 20-years-old.
