I honestly don't think they'll release any reach related media. because it'd cast some shadow on ODST. that's marketing.
it's like "hey guys, here's our NEXT new game! forget ODST you won't play it when reach's out anyway"
if they release something it won't be reach related. to tell the truth we won't have any piece of info until ODST is shipped and well sold (or whenever the next gaming expo is (TGS, leipzeig electronic, etc).
While that is true, the same could have been said when announcing another game right after showing ODST, couldn't it? Or it will steal its thunder? Well, it certainly didn't because Reach is more than a year away.
If anything, releasing some sort of Reach related media while reminding everyone that "Hey! You like what you see! Well, its going to be a while but hey, Why don't you buy this other game we're working, Halo 3: ODST. Its a Halo game as well and well, you get access to the Beta of Reach!"
I think that'll be pretty smart marketing actually.
giving the beta of reach in ODST is just a way to ensure they make benefits, just like M$ did with crackdown (gta wannabe that wouldn't have sold if it didn't include the beta of H3).
having the name "halo" in a game is enough to make it sell millions of copies. they don't need to advertise HR to ensure ODST sells well. (but M$ just wants to be 120% sure of it, so they included the beta and put the game at 60$ instead to get some more money).
However, even with that, then Halo: Reach won't stand in the way of ODST should they show anything Reach related.
So, if Halo: Reach makes an appearance it won't affect the marketing hype of Halo 3: ODST.
