Slegger, since you already answered the question in this thread (Which you said YES to), it would be wise to stop arguing. You already agreed with us. There is no more to it. Whether or not you think it's worth buying the maps and H3 multi again is out of the question.

You agreed, there's nothing more to it.

You obviously don't know what we're arguing about.
Well according to the topic's post, we're arguing whether or not we're buying it twice. (Yes I am aware it says Why you think we're not. And your reason is, according to your post to Complex Deity, "I don't care". You already answered why or why not. I can't argue with you on why "you don't care". I can't make you care.)

You said yes. I said yes. We agree. There's no more arguing to be done. If you want to argue about something else make a thread accordingly.

I'm not arguing with you. I'm arguing with the other fellows.

You basically insulted me and everyone who disagrees with you. It's kinda sad how you have to call people names and call people stupid because they don't share your viewpoint. Cause your immaturity isn't going to help your side of the argument. You need to learn to not flame people when they disagree with you. It's just sad how whiney you have gotten.

Actually, I only insulted you. I only called you "names". I only called you "stupid". How am I whining? You guys are the ones who keep making posts and threads about how "zomg dey gun make us pay twice for duszzz crapzz!one111!"

How about me and you stop arguing? Sound good? Good.

On a side note: I just noticed both the "yes" and "no" option are at 117.

And Slegger, if you've already voiced your opinion about the topic of the thread, then why continue posting arguments here? If you have further arguments about the price of the game that are not related to the whether or not we are paying twice, then why not start a new thread? Posting off-topic is bad forum etiquette.

You just posted "off-topic". You just basically told me to reply to your post. Why don't you stop trying to make things worse?

You're the one who keeps posting here. If you want it to stop, just leave and stop posting here. Simple as that. And by insulting me you are proving that you are a immature because you can't accept that people won't always agree with you and you call them stupid and other names. You in a sense, fail at keeping threads civil. So go ahead, leave the thread. Don't come back if all you want to do is whine about the complainers. Hell, make your own thread about complainers, but then that would be whining wouldn't it? Yes.

Also, I have seen so many threads about people whining about the complainers. So don't try to say that you guys aren't the one complaining and whining cause you are.

Finally, it would be good if you stopped arguing. Then the maturity level could return to normal.

Yes, we are obviously paying for something twice.

Because of this, I probably won't buy any Halo DLC in the future.

I can't believe there's 99 people that can't see how we're paying for things twice.

Then again, many probably changed their minds. I think you should make another poll.

We do realize it. We just don't care, because were getting 2 new things that kick ass anyway.

Are you familliar with the term "fanboy?"

I wouldn't have bought the maps had I known they were coming with ODST.

  • 07.08.2009 4:13 PM PDT

Lee Chadwick

The new Halo 3 disc that comes with Halo 3:ODST is Halo 3s multiplayer. The disc includes all the maps heroic, legendary, coldstorage, mithic (1) and the new mithic (2) along with all the origional maps. Thats the only thing that makes me mad.

  • 07.08.2009 4:25 PM PDT

Looks like there are more people on our side.

93% of statistics are lies. Formerly Xfire Grunt. Unfortunately, you can't change the WLID for your BNET account, so I had to create an alternate account. My other WLID was spam city (and it was my e-mail account too).

MS said that the maps and Halo 3 multiplayer are part of the price.

http://kotaku.com/5274549/ For further info read my last post on this. It has the link also just incase you miss it here.

Does it really matter? You're still getting a new campaign, firefight, Halo: Reach beta and all the goodness those come with. Seriously, if that doesn't warrant 60 dollars to you, you probably think the sky is yellow.

That doesn't sound like 30-50 hours of gameplay for me, which is what I expect from a game. Firefight unfortunately doesn't have matchmaking, which means its unlikely I can play it very often. None of my friends likes the Halo 3 Campaign, so they aren't buying Firefight. The only reason I am considering ODST is because of the new map pack, but I'm not sure a map pack is worth $60.

I might end up getting ODST anyways. I personally think that Microsoft's plan will backfire on them. You can't just expect the Halo name to instantly mean millions of copies. Brand names are built on getting every penny from a game. If you had to pay $150 for Halo 3 do you think it would have sold as well? I personally don't think so.

I think it would be nice to have a $40 version of ODST that didn't include the Halo3 disc and only had a downloadable code for Mythic part 2.

The funniest thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's to late to stop reading it.

Yes we are paying for it twice.

What makes me mad is that we are basically being resold halo 3 minus it's mediocre campaign.Along with all the DLC,including the new maps.

So if you own Halo 3 you are paying not only for ODST but for the multiplayer aspect of Halo 3.

I might end up doing another poll as Complex Deity suggested. There seems to be a couple of people who changed their minds after voting (I got a few PMs).

But I don't know if a Moderator will allow another thread..

You can't even play FF on matchmaking. I don't think that ot will be as awsome as people hope it will be. Watch, people will complain about it as soon as it does come out and people have had a chance with it. You'll see.

Hmm? So I ask you to stop arguing with me, and you continue to argue with me? You are a really, really, really, really big hypocrite. Maybe if you stop posting after I ask you if we can all just get along this place wouldn't be so bad.

Me and the omen stop arguing, we're cool now (I hope lolz) Me and most people can stop, because they simply say "Alright, sounds good, cya around" But you, no, you need to continue to post these long unnecessary posts just to get me to post again.

Now, after you inevitably reply and say "you aren't mature!!11one11!!" can we stop? Please? Thankyou.

That hasn't been confirmed(the FF matchmaking). As likely as it is not to be in the game, you can't state it as truth.

And about paying twice for the multiplayer..I honestly don't give a pebble's worth of a -blam!-. The game would still be priced the same. And don't post that useless -blam!- link. It's M$ they'll say anything to get money.

EDIT: I voted yes BTW

So it honestly doesn't bother you that Microsoft are blatently making you pay for something twice? If people like you realised that they were getting ripped off and didn't buy the game, the game wouldn't be priced the same.

I agree. However we have to face the fact that the average demographic in Halo are 12 year olds. They have no sense of what money is worth and are willing to waste any amount since it doesn't come out of their pockets. If only the Halo 3 players were more mature.

Also, this is not directed at anybody, just stating a little fact.

Fix'ed. >_>

But despite that, I, and people like me, don't think we are getting ripped off. The only reason all of you people are angry is because Bungie had stated a long time ago, that ODST wouldn't be a full-priced game. And you guys foolishly believed that it would stay that way. >_>

  • 07.08.2009 5:18 PM PDT

7.8.9

Well I think its good that it comesnwith the H3 Multi disk because mine is messed up and I can remove the map off of my HDD for more space!

I hope you're joking. Supply and demand is basic economics...

And you guys foolishly believed that it would stay that way. >_>I'm "angry" (I'm not really angry, but it makes no difference) at the lack of content in the game, despite the pricetag. I could deal with a price raise, if it was justified, which it is not. Honestly, how do you justify the price? What makes you think the game is worth it?

  • 07.08.2009 5:28 PM PDT

Posted by: vzerby
No I don't think you are cause you paid for it early, that was what you got for buying it. The maps now are just a bonus with ODST and not the main focus of the game.

the maps are not bonus mircrosoft said the reason why its 60 dollars is because there is 60 dollars worth of content in it and most of the community has already paid the 30 dollars of it and will have to rebuy it when odst come out.

  • 07.08.2009 5:37 PM PDT

they said odst will include an odst disc, and a halo 3 multiplayer disc with all the maps, so if you have halo 3 and the maps, u are paying for another copy of halo 3 and the maps...

  • 07.08.2009 5:42 PM PDT

EDIT: Forgot to quote Khorne. -_-

Yeah I was joking with the first thing.

Well, I'm still enjoying Gears 2 horde mode. Since FF is random waves, and it utilizes multiple skulls I believe FF will at the least it will last just as long, justifying the price quite a bit.

Also, Halo 3 campaign is still taking up a lot of my time, almost more so than the multiplayer. With an open environment in ODST, I think it will last at the least just as long.

I know people are saying the Beta for Reach should be free. But meh, I wouldn't mind paying $5 for it. Recon will be available, but I don't care at all about it. So it doesn't count to the price.

I've bought all the maps so far, so I'll be getting $10 of maps. And I also get to free up space on my HDD which is actually getting really low, but that just icing on the cake, as is Johnson. I don't really care about the multiplayer disk itself.

All this is worth the $70 or so, that we Canadians have to pay. Don't try to say otherwise. Because this is my opinion.

  • 07.08.2009 5:43 PM PDT

First of all, this is a great point.

I can see where people are thinking that they are paying for the same thing twice, and in a sense, you are correct. Yes you are purchasing all of the maps for the game, yet this is on the second disc. Who's to say that Bungie is charging $60 for the ODST disc, and $0 for all the new maps.

This all depends on how you look at it.
