Okay, here's the deal...
I don't think anyone is saying that you aren't paying for stuff you already own. I would agree with you that you are paying for stuff you already bought. However, I fail to agree with the whiners that it's immoral/unethical/unfair/scam or any other negative terminology someone could come up with.
Yes, Bungie and Microsoft want to make more money. Yes, consumers who already have the content on the second disc will be paying for it twice, if not at full value then at some value. Yes, I understand that people are upset about the principle of the issue.
But, again...no one is forcing you to buy it. I appreciate what one guy said...he is not going to buy it because he feels like he's getting ripped off. That is exactly what he should do.
Let's face it...there's a cost to everything in life...eating your next meal has a cost...you are going to eat your next meal no matter what, and you could go get your meal at the grocery store if you want to. but, you can also go to a restaurant and order a meal as well...it's all something you could have done yourself, but you decided that you wanted the luxury of eating and being served and not having to clean up afterwards...Part of the cost of buying ODST is purchasing something you don't really need...if you don't like it, then don't buy it. If you don't want to pay someone else to do all the work at a restaurant so you can just eat, then don't go...
I fail to see how people who claim to understand the concept of wasting money can make an argument against this example...
The way I see it, the market is going to determine theprice of the game. And market price is whatever a willing buyer and willing seller agree to...Bungie is offering their package for $60, you can buy it if you want, or you can choose to pass. Just know this...if you pass, then you will be passing on the whole thing. If you buy, then you can assume that part of your cost is purchasing something you already have...your choice.
