Who is 'we'?

And why does Reach have to be a .5? What if 'we' want something different? What if 'we' don't want the same old halo.
I want Halo to stay the same, but i want to like evolve(no pun intended) with it still feeling like the Halo Universe

The 'we' is long time Halo fans, people who actually played the other 2 Halo games. Crazy I know.

And let me assure you, we want Halo, to be Halo.

Your friendly and eccentric Sangheili forum-poster. :)

Has anyone else noticed the correlation between newer Halo fans (people who haven't played much if any of the other 2 Halo games) and ideas which would radically change the way Halo is played?

Yeah, I've noticed that I've been playing these games since their release and I welcome these ideas, along with many more of my fellow Bungie.net members.

Things Reach doesn't need
-Class system, because finding the weapon you want isn't that hard.
-Cover system, because there are no available buttons on the controller to take cover and the gameplay is usually too fast pased to take cover.
-Huge maps with pelicans and phantoms.

Things Reach shouldn't have
-MMO concept (no.....just......no)
-RPG concept, because it just doesn't fit Halos style.

Things Reach does need
-Longer campaign with more ways to do everything.
-A new ranking system. Maybe like Gears of War 2's ranking system.
-Firefight would be a great addition.

Notice that at the top I say, "Things that Reach doesn't need " which means that I'm saying it wouldn't be necessarily bad for Reach to have those things, it's just not necessary for Reach to have those things. There is no sarcasm in this post.

AMEN! Halo is a unique game and should be treated as such, of course if your a bandwagoner and just picked up halo 3 and hadnt played much of the other games there is plenty of things that you would want to change, but for those of us who have been around since Halo: CE and understand what makes Halo what it is see nothing wrong with the way halo is played because thats what we know and love. Halo must retain its individuality in order to stay as good of a game as it is. Halo's multiplayer should NEVER be class based because that ruins half of the games strategy (getting powerful weapons and controlling critical spots). Halo is a far more strategy and team based game because of the way its played, so i say Bungie should keep doing what they do best and make great halo games.
