Subject: Why is Halo in the title?

The events of Reach take place before the discovery of Halo, so that means at some point Halo will show up in the game. Unless they are considering anything from first contact with the cov to the end of Halo 3 the Halo universe. It would make more sense that the events of Halo CE to Halo 3 would be the Halo universe.

PEANUT-BUTTER SLAP!

Because it's a game in the Halo series. Sounds crazy, no?

Continuity. Everyone knows what to expect with Halo in the title. Besides it could be argued that ONI knew the location of Halo at the time of the Fall of Reach.

It's a part of the Halo universe, the name will not be dropped. There were no Halos in Halo Wars, Contact Harvest, or The Cole Protocol. The Forerunner trilogy will be in the Halo universe as well. I don't know why it's so difficult for people to grasp this; there doesn't have to be a Halo in it for it to be called Halo. It's the title of this fictional universe.

YOU'RE STILL ALIVE?!?

What do you want it to be called? "Reach"?

doubtful.

you could say the same about Halo 3 ODST -no halo in there.

People recognize it as being part of the HALO universe.

Your friendly and eccentric Sangheili forum-poster. :)

I think they included it in the title because it's set in the Halo Universe.

Here's my advice to you son, its a life lesson you shan't forget.

Some people are like Slinkies. They aren't good for anything in particular, but it still makes you smile when you push them down the stairs

..If it didn't have Halo in the title less people would buy it..

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

A Halo could be involved. You never know.

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

Because that will make it mandatory for every Halo fan to buy.

I seriously doubt that ONI knew about Halo. If they did then people would have already been there and learned about what it does and destroyed it before the Pillar of Autum even got there.

Same reason the book was called 'Halo: The Fall of Reach'. It's to let people know that it takes place in the same universe as the Halo series. It's just a title.
