Happy Bungie Day!

As part of our numerous gifts to you, the community, Bungie Pro Video has emerged from its beta state and is fully functioning as of today. Bungie Pro, in addition to expanding your fileshare from 6 to 24 slots and 25 to 250 MB, now includes 5 render minutes per month, which will let you render up to 5 minutes of high quality 360p video or 1 minute of high definition 720p video per month. You can check out more info about Bungie Pro, including how to get Pro and how to render videos, on our new Bungie Pro project page.

This thread is for you to report any bugs you find with our new service to us so we can take a look at them. To provide some general guidance about reporting bugs, I'd like to recommend a few things that you should do before reporting a bug:

1. Watch your film clip in Halo 3 before you render it.
2. Put the clip in your file share and then choose to render it.
3. Wait at least 2-3x as long as the estimate the site gives you for the rendering time. We try to be fast and to have accurate estimates, but the Hydra is a complicated beast and it is sometimes hard for us to get our estimates right on the money.
4. Watch your video.
5. If you think something is wrong with your video, watch it again in Halo 3 to see if it goes wrong there as well. If so, you should've followed step 1 more closely. ;)
6. Check this post to see if there's a known issue already reported that looks the same as your problem. (I will be updating this post if more issues are discovered.)
7. If you still think there's a legitimate bug with your video or the service, post here and include a detailed description and a link to the file. (e.g. http://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3f ileid=84546622)

Known Issues:
- It is currently not possible to purchase additional render minutes. The Bungie Pro project page will be updated when it is. The cost for additional render minutes will be 100 Microsoft Points for a pack of 10 render minutes.
- Reticles do not show properly when playing back film clips in Halo 3. While the game build which we use has a fix to show reticles in the first person video, reticles still do not show properly when inside of vehicles.

Please try to only report legitimate issues with the Bungie Pro Video in this thread. Reducing the spam will help us discover, classify, and fix issues.

Thanks again for being the most awesome community in gaming.

I have not rendered any videos, however I have noticed that the videos in this do not play. Instead, they load the bungie.net homepage in their place.

Edit: They do play, but you have to click in the upper left corner of the video. If you click on the play button you open the homepage. (the Bungie logo in the bottom right corner)

Maybe it's just my mouse, but it seems like the cursor position is off in the video player.

Also, these are the only videos which I have a problem with.

Silverlight doesn't work on Chrome =/
or Firefox and others I think. That could be it.

Anybody want a peanut?

Did you guys fix the thing with the reticle not appearing when someone is riding in a vehicle? In the second stage of the Beta (where the reticle had been fixed for first-person mode), I saw a bunch of videos where a person would get on the back of a Mongoose, or the side-seat of a Warthog, and they wouldn't have a reticle. I posted about this issue in the second Beta bugs thread, but I felt like no one noticed it. I'd just like to know if that was fixed for the real release of Bungie Pro Video.

I'm a college dropout.

It won't let me render anything, it says I do not have Bungie Pro.
I just renewed my Bungie Pro two days before it ran out.

It would have ran out on the 4th.

Also, here's another.
Another problem.

I Love Bungir for creating this awsome game

Does anyone even read these?

I've noticed something very strange about the whole file share system on Halo 3. I uploaded a film which was 38 seconds long and on my fileshare it says it's 30 seconds long. My friend downloaded it and watched it and told me that it shows it being 38 seconds in length on his xbox.

Basically the film, when in the fileshare, is shorter than normal.

I don't know whether this causes the problem of films cutting out too early or too late. This is an enormous 8 second cut, I will just have to wait and see when I render it once I get more points.

Silverlight works fine in both Chrome and Firefox. I am using FF now and I just, seconds ago, tested Chrome. All is well.

Try stepping in another person's shoes.
Wait, what?
Oh, not literally, of course!

Isn't that a dollar in Microsoft points? If so, it's okay .

I am a paid Bungie Pro member. I've never re-upped for the pro but have never been asked to either. I've been rendering videos throughout the entire beta.

However, I'm no longer able to render. I don't even get a listing of how many minutes I have left. The message I get is:

"Only eligible Bungie Pro subscribers may render films to video. Click here to learn about Bungie Pro.

Please note that Bungie Pro subscription status can be delayed by up to thirty minutes for the purposes of Bungie Pro Video, even if you already have a larger file share. Please try back later if you subscribed very recently."

So what gives?

How can you pay 100 microsoft points if it is not sold in retail stores, did you mean the cost of them, if you were to buy them online on the xbox.com site?

Sorry we didn't respond, but we did notice the post. Unfortunately, we don't have a fix for this problem. I believed that this falls into the "make sure it looks the way you want in the game" bucket, since the reticle doesn't show in clip playback in the game either. Unfortunately, the fix that we made to rendering to make the reticle show in first person mode didn't apply to vehicles. I don't know if/when we'll change this at this time, unfortunately.

How many render points do we start out with if we buying Bungie Pro?

You'll start with 5 render minutes (enough for up to 5 minutes of standard def or 1 minute of high def). These 5 minutes will be topped off every month on the anniversary date of your subscription (e.g. if you bought Pro today, on the 9th of every month). Additional points will be available for purchase soon, as well.

This question is a little incoherent, but I will attempt to answer anyways: as Roger stated on the Bungie Day podcast, the render minute packs will be purchased through your Halo 3 game, the same way that Bungie Pro is purchased today.

Sorry, I never really listen to the bungie podcasts often.=(

for me, Microsoft silverlight doesn't currently work on safari 4, it worked fine until about a month after the beta was released. I've tried re-downloading it but to no avail. It's not a big deal because I can always use explorer. I just thought I'd let you guys know.
