Here's my story:

my Xbox live username has always been FabFubar from the beginning. I chose it because it sounded cool and those who know what 'fubar' means wouldn't be offended by it anyway.

now, i've never been told or warned by microsoft they find the name offensive. I've never had problems uploading my files to my fileshare in Halo 3, had no problem rendering them either. But when I tried to upload my first awesome clip to my fileshare, it said the "username of the creator of this content is offensive" and it wouldn't let me put it on my fileshare. Can't upload my sweet multiplayer map either.

and then i was like "lol, ok I guess", until i realised you can only render videos from your fileshare. So i can't put them on my computer either. This makes my bungie pro 100% worthless and I'm practically wasting money every second that goes by until this problem is fixed.

I'm glad microsoft lets you change your gamertag, and that's what I did, for the mere price of 800 microsoft points. (yes, that is sarcasm.)

With my new username I went back to my saved films. I changed the name slightly and re-saved them, the creator name was now Daitor. (I have always been the creator.)

but now it STILL doesn't let me upload my films or map! what the hell? I'm glad I can upload all films after my name change, but what about my sweet extermination?? It's amazing how much money i have wasted so far...

Does anyone feel my pain? I bet I'm the only guy with this problem, who calls himself FabFubar right? Does anyone know a solution to this?

The issue is that the original film you rendered has your original gamertag (FabFubar) embedded in it; so if you just re-save the file, it still has FabFubar embedded in the file as the author's gamertag. To get around this you would have to go back to the source game and record a new clip.

Every time I click "Watch this film online with bungie pro" or "Render film and watch online", nothing happens. When I say nothing happens; no new page opens, nothing that shows that it has been rendered, and no new page comes up. I've re-done this thing 10 times from step one to finish. If it can't be fixed, then I would like a refund, because this is ridiculous.

I think your browser has javascript turned off or is blocking the script that runs when you click, "Watch this film online with Bungie Pro." You should make sure that javascript is enabled in your browser or try a different browser. You may also try updating your browser.

I wear the cheese, it does not wear me.

This account is now retired due to WLID changing. Webteam needs to fix that, seriously >.>

This bungiepro video does not load or run at youtube. I tried it in 240p, 360p, small, expanded, full screen, skipping ahead a few seconds, in firefox, in chrome and tried going back to the page after watching another clip and nothing.

Which is a bit of a shame because I watched it at b.net and it's a little bit funny.

edit: P.S I like the improved silverlight or whatever thing that makes the video's at b.net work, the old version never ran well on my firefox.

The Bungie pro videos used to not autoplay. I have many of them embedded in my own personal website in a 3 by 3 grid. This used to be fine when they didn't autoplay, but now when visitors land on that page they are now blasted by 9 videos all starting at once.

I do not want to code a whole page for each video.

I don't want to take down my embedded videos.

Since I don't have access to the app to change the autoplay off there, is there a way to change the embed code for a video provided by Bungie to change how the iFrame is called to disable the autoplay?

I tried putting autoplay="no" right before scrolling="no" in the embed code and that didn't work.

Any help would be appreciated, and thanks in advance.

So is the selection for clips that get uploaded to youtube automatic in some way or did someone greenlight this?! (warning: -blam!- content, NSFW)

THIS

Can we get a way to turn off Autoplay ASAP? Many pages on our sites are going crazy with so many videos playing on load.

That video seems to work fine now on YouTube; I think you tried to watch it right after it was uploaded, and sometimes it takes 10 minutes or so for YouTube to fully process an uploaded video.

Unfortunately the autoplay setting is a part of the media player code and can't be changed via the embed html string. The fix will be rolled out in a week or so.

The YouTube videos are uploaded automatically based on the number of "likes" and views. We rely on our community to help us prune objectionable content, and most of the time things like this are caught and removed. Thanks for reporting this video!

Not sure if this goes here or not but I'll ask anyways.

Earlier today I was trying to save a film from my recent games. When I selected the film and pressed "x" to edit (and save) none of the 4 options were highlighted as available options. I backed out and came back and noticed they were pulsating between grey and white. They would all be grey (and thus unavailable to click) and for a very brief period (half a second maybe) they would turn white. I just kept repeatedly pressing "A" to save but it took a while.

Just wondering if it was something I was doing wrong or this was a known bug.

Thanks

Halo 3 Longshore playable on Team Fortress 2 vids

I got a weird problem viewing my file share online through bungie.net

This seems to be all broken. Any reason why?

I'm having problems with sound lag on the 720p films on youtube. I render videos all the time on bungie pro. The SD versions upload and play fine. Even the 720p CLIPS are fine. But a full length slayer game for example, in 720p, has about a 3 second delay from the video. And again, it's only the HD videos that are doing this. Is it youtube or is it the rendering tool that you guys use. Or maybe there is a simple way to fix this?

Not to be a nag, but is there an update on the fix for this? It's been almost 3 weeks from when the ETA was 'a week or so'.

I doubt you will experience that problem; we fixed that issue early last year after those bug reports were posted.

Just to make sure I understand, the videos look fine on Bungie.net and when you download them? But you see the 3 second audio lag when you upload them to YouTube?

If that is the case, then it must be an issue with with YouTube and not Bungie Pro. I also sometimes see audio lag on large YouTube files if I play them while they are still downloading; it is usually solved if I wait for the video to fully download. Let me know if this helps or if you still have issues.

Thanks for reporting this issue; these are caused by the same bug, which should be fixed in a week or so.

yea, once you have rendered the film via bungie.net, select the video. Once there you will see (above the video thumbnail) the resolutions. It will say either standard def., or 720p. Just right click on the one you want and select "save link as" and just select where you want to save it. That easy. ;-)

  • 01.14.2011 9:05 AM PDT

yea, you're right. I viewed my HD videos on my desk top. Via WMV. And they are perfect. It's when I upload to youtube. I've tried waiting for the video to fully upload, but "no dice". I wonder if it has anything to do with the file being a WMV? When I uploaded captured videos in MPEG4 files this didn't happen. I don't know what to do. But thanks for taking the time out of your busy schedual. I really appreciate it. Thanks.

so u have to watch the film first?

  • 01.15.2011 2:51 PM PDT

Everything is interesting if you go into it deeply enough.

Ok, I'm having a small issue rendering a video. I tried rendering this video a few days ago (1/22) and then went to bed. I checked today and it wasn't rendered, so I just tried rendering it again and it seems to have... Not done so.

It doesn't appear to be using up my render minutes, I checked my render order history and it says "Error, please contact support, error code -1" and "Error, please contact support, error code -12"
