Bug Glitch On bumber jumper you have to hold b to drive mongoose. I went and watched the clip on my xbox and it says hold b, but on here it says hold rb. Just a little bug.

The default setting is RB.

The controller settings aren't saved in the film, so these messages are displayed in whatever control scheme is currently active. In fact, if you make a film where you stare at a Mongoose for about a minute, and change from default to bumper jumper during playback, the message will change from RB to B when you exit the menu.

When we render the videos, we render them on default because, hey, it's the default.

So if i have a video clip that is 8 seconds long is it going to cost me a whole minute to render it, or will it actually only take 8 seconds out of "said minute" and i will be left with "4mins.52sec."? If it costs a minute per clip, no matter the size, well that's a little ridiculous bungie.

  • 07.24.2009 1:33 AM PDT

Does anyone even read these?

It will cost you the whole minute.

damn, that's a little ridiculous, it's pretty hard to get a minute of good footage, usually a "lucky happening" will only last about 10 seconds. it's not like i can get a solid minute of amazing gameplay worth rendering, i was hoping to be able to render 5 minutes worth of "mini-clips" and then make them into a cool montage. well, i just wasted 10$...that sucks...bungie pro is stupid....how can i get clips on my computer another way? geevee.com and gamvee.com don't work anymore...i guess i should've just bought a capture card instead of bungie pro. what a shame. come on bungie, do we really have to resort to depending on random websites to get our footage into an editing program? why should we have to pay for 5 minutes (actually about 20 seconds) of good footage when we could just buy a capture card for 10$? Can't you just give us the ability? I'm sorry Bungie, I love you and your games, but why make it so difficult to enjoy ourselves to the fullest? At this rate it will take me about a year to put together enough clips to fill a montage of roughly 5 minutes...waiting every month for 5 more minutes that i have to end up spending on a total of about 60 seconds...unless i want to make it look good in HD...then it's going to take me five years....will halo even be around in 5 years? i hope so. again, I love you bungie, and the games you've made, everything is -blam!- compared to halo.

When I watch this video where it is embedded on bungie.net in 640x360, it seems to play fine. But when I download it in HD, I've done this three times now, it seems to be sort of lag-y in the first six seconds, then skips to the point of me shooting, and then plays that image for the rest of the film. It's done that all three times I've downloaded it.

I downloaded the HD version of your film and played it back in Windows Media Player on my PC, and didn't notice any lag or freezes (beyond the short pauses which are normal at the beginning and end of videos). It's possible that your computer doesn't have the CPU or GPU power to play back full HD video, or that the player that you're using may have trouble dealing with HD WMV files. Do you see this with other people's HD clips as well?

p.s. Thanks for making the first productive reply.

I searched for my own rendered videos in Community Files but couldn't find them. Does it take time for them to show up?

*edit*
I found them, but they were hard to find because they were created so long ago.

yo this is torgmc.

I cannot view rendered videos when using https:www.bungie.net/ . I can view them when using regular http, though.

For example: This video will work using http.
The same video will not work when using https. Link: https://www.bungie.net/Online/Halo3UserContentDetails.aspx?h3 fileid=85973308

Sorry about the link, it won't let me link with https.

The fact that any amount of video under 1 minute consumes a full minute of render time is not exactly customer-friendly. But I am aware of it now, and I don't mind spending the money to buy more rendering time.

The fact that you multiply the HD render time by 5 AFTER you've rounded up to 1 minute is also very customer unfriendly - that means a 10 second HD clip consumes your entire monthly allocation of render time. But I am aware of it now, and I don't mind spending the money to buy more rendering time.

But how can I buy more rendering time when that feature isn't even enabled? I've been waiting for this feature since you announced that it was coming soon sometime last year, and now that you've released it and I've gotten a taste of what I can do with it, I find that it's crippled.

You know what would be really customer friendly? While you're working on giving us the ability to purchase more render time, why not give us more free render time?

I've paid for a feature that is more or less useless to me until you let me buy more time.

I used to. I had rebooted my computer, and that seemed to fix it. Thanks! :)

I just got free render points for some reason.

I purchased Bungie Pro on 7.4.2009. At the end of the month July, I rendered five videos. My render points recharged at the beginning of August and I rendered two videos for 3 points.
Today, I log onto Bungie.net and see that I have five render points again, while yesterday I had two points left.
The recharge date didn't change (I think), it's 9.8.2009.

I've seen this happen before. It gave me that error when I was watching a video and my internet went out half way through. Try hard refreshing (crt-f5 for ff on pc), or clear your cache and try again. Good luck!
