This is an old account iDarkWint3r is my new Bungie.net user.

They might add Halo:Reach on HPC and it' my opinion god damn it.Never knew Gearbox wanted to update the game so badly. It was never touched for like 3 years or so.1.09 on 2009 that's a laugh. So 2010 will 1.10
and so on.LOL like 1.08 on 2008.

They wouldn't update halo pc to be the pc version of halo: reach, thats just stupid.
im pretty sure there using new version of engine so i dont even think they would make it a expansion/update for halo 3 pc.
I hope for this keep your cd key thing they just give us a few things such as co-op, like someone made a co-op mod for doom 3 so maybe they could do something like that for this and it would also be cool if they added support for custome maps in the normale halo pc and fix the loading times for people who have alot of maps.
For all the other stuff i am just waiting for cerebrum to come out!!

This is actually the stupidest thing ever posted on B.net:

Why does everyone hate Halo 2? Maybe its because its the worst game ever next to mario.

This is freaking me out, what does this mean exactly?

Just to clarify,

1: Sawnose is the guy whos voice was on the podcast

2: There are no planned updates for Halo at the moment, he only implied it was a good idea to keep your key incase they do decide to do something and may want to verify that you are a HaloPC owner.

Yeah. That's right. I don't have a 50 in H3. I never got Onyx in Reach. If a game sucks too much, I won't even bother trying for such trivial "accolades". Besides, I've done way more things that take far more skill and talent than anything that can be done in a video game.

Some additional clarification, quoted from another thread:

I'm not planning any game changes or updates. There are no concrete plans for the CD key, but it's your way to show us that you're a Halo 1 player, which we might want to know in the future.

There ya have it. No plans to update Halo PC, not even any plans on what we'd keep the CD key for.

Here's my guess as to what the Halo 2 activation code is all about.

It has recently been announced that Halo Waypoint, a new portal on Xbox Live that tracks ALL of your Halo accomplishments (in and out of game), will be released relatively soon. What I think/hope/am not sure about is that you will link certain assets to your gamertag. For example, I would add my H2PC keycode to my account on waypoint and something would "unlock" as a result. Armor permutations, special BETAs, anything. This would be a fantastic financial move by Bungie, albeit a greedy one. They could go as far back as Halo 1 for the PC also, and don't forget Halo Wars. All the Halo games/items you have purchased could be entered to unlock things. Since the waypoint is supposed to track things that happen out of game also, it could go as far as asking you to enter the numbers on the back of the halo novels/comics. Of course there would be problems with people going into stores and copying numbers, so I'm not exactly sure what they're planning on doing.

I can imagine the crowds if Bungie confirmed this. People would be swarming stores looking for copies of Halo and Halo 2 PC. LOL!

Again, this is complete speculation. It might sound dumb but I don't care. Just my two cents.

Interesting theory, A88, but I doubt it. Though, the probability of our CD key having a use in a newer Halo release is far more likely than unlocking something in something like H2V or Halo 3. It might give your Waypoint profile some extra eye candy, but what use is that?

Yeah I agree. Maybe it will give you a Halo 2 t-shirt for your XBL avatar. Lol

It'd be funny if they could fit something on it, like "I got all the achievements in H2V and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!"

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.
