Brutes were not a part of the Covenant military during the Battle Of Reach, they were ceremonial Guards at that point. Cortana even says so in First Strike when the Spartans encounter Brutes for the first time on the Unyielding Hierophant.

Then why did Elites still guard the Heirachs? Also, as evident in Halo Wars and Halo 3: ODST, they were used as occupiers and shock troopers, so they will most likely appear in Reach.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I doubt seeing more covenant species, maybe some Hurrugock but that's it.

Brutes were the first aliens to attack Harvest, then apparently disappeared for a while. They may be there, they may not.

The Brutes prescence on Harvest was very specific, due to the fact that the Prophets learned the truth about humans, and the Brutes were too stupid to go against the Prophets BS. The Elite Shipmaster and Grunt Deacons know how to read the Forerunner symbols, and would have had objections to slaughtering what was marked as a Forerunner "relic".

Contact Harvest outlines it plainly, the Brutes were used for a very specific role, not for the main fleet. It wasn't until Halo2 that Truth decided to put the Brutes ahead of the Elites, seeing more and more that Elites would not sit by ignorant for much longer.

I don't care if they keep brutes and drones in or out. But, i would like to see new species, such as the ones Bungie has discussed but never made for example the drinol. their are others that i just don't feel like posting.

Second, peoples arguments as to why Brutes and Drones should be in Reach is that: "Oh there were so many ships attacking Reach, one was bound to have a few Brutes and Drones on it"
If this is true then why aren't there any Brutes or Drones on the first Halo? Master Chief was bound to run into a few of em.

There weren't any on Installation 04 because the ship that followed The Pillar Of Autumn was an Elite controlled ship and the Elites hate the Brutes so wouldn't have any on their ship. I'm not sure why there wouldn't be any Drones but i know why there were no Brutes.

Drones helped the Engineers. They were the ship's external mechanics because they are good in zero gee. The Covenant didn't find out that the Drones were good at killing people in swarms until the Battle of new Mombasa.

Well Drones don't usually like Engineers (Contact Harvest with Lighter Than Some, anybody) but i agree with what you said about them working in zero-gee

I imagine Brutes and Drones will be on Reach. Maybe we'll see Tartarus again. That'll be "FUN".

Brutes were involved with the attacks on Harvest. How were they only part of the ceremonial guard?
They failed at Harvest, so they were removed from military service due to that failure.
In Halo Wars they were Spec. OPS so that could be a reason you don't see as much but you should see some. As for drones, I don't care much for them.

I would actually look forward to see him again.

I say keep 'em in, just for gameplay reasons alone. The Drones are fun to fight against. The swarms were a nice twist in H2 and H3, and I would miss them.

Brutes? The problem was Bungie trying to replace the Elite's purpose in gameplay in the franchise. They just aren't made for that. They did it better in H2, to be honest, but there they were dumb. In H3 they got their own part, but that too was diminished without a main draw like Tartarus to back them up in the game.

With the whole Covenant just keep each species' focus to themselves, and we will have an awesome enemy to mirror the UNSC stronghold.
