RAWR!

from the start of the invasion of reach everyone knew it couldnt be saved. you might play as spartans who serve under admiral whitcomb and have to sneak a bomb into a covy ship.

Actually I think that means "From the beginning [Since the beginning of Halo: CE] you know the end [We know all the spartans died, but not a lot of light has been shed on their final stand.]"

No. "From the beginning, you know the end" means you already know what happens to Reach: it gets glassed by the Covenant.

we all know the spartans died but not much light has been shed on their final stand
thats not true there were the spartan 3s and spartan 1s who were trapped on onyx

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

Not to split hairs, but the Spartans trapped on Onyx are S-III's and S-II's, not S-I's, there is a difference.

More than likely the phrase is simply letting us know that we are going to play through something that we are already familiar with. Hence from the beginning, we know the end. The hard thing is that this could imply the fate of the Spartans, or this could elude to the climax at th Arc in Halo3. No one knows.

From the beginning you know the end

The game is about the FALL of Reach(not talking about the book I mean the event)
They made that obvious ALL IT MEANS IS FROM THE START YOU KNOW THAT REACH WILL FALL you don't need the books to know that.

The Chief is never beaten.

Weren't all the Spartan Is a failure, and Master Chief's group was the Spartan II project? I'm pretty sure him and Linda are Spartan IIs.

Whatever the quote means, it's nothing enlightening. I doubt the Halo: Reach game will follow the book much at all, but there probably won't be any surprises.

I never read the books but i think maybe since master chief got sent to space in the end of halo 3 if u finissh it on legendary he might land on that reach planet and see that there are still some spartans left but in like captivity by the covenant or something
