But thats the point. this is not an expansion. It is a new FULL game. It is an expansion on the halo universe not halo 3.

Halo 3 odst

so halo:reach is an expansion halo:combat evolved because it has halo in the name?

Who cares if it started that way? A baby starts out a baby and grows into a man but since it started out as a baby the man should be treated like one? makes all the sense in the world. (sarcasm)

What if the man is retarded and acts like a baby.

Thats how I treat Halo ODST, its a game that started out as an expansion pack, matured out of being one, but still is an expansion pack to me

Notice the "3" at the end. If it was a FULL game, them why dosen't it drop the 3 and just call itself Halo: ODST? Aslo, the words "expansion pack" are on the very front of the box. So I can't really call it a "full game" unless it can break the ties that it has with Halo 3. Cause now and forever it is an ECPANSION PACK.

Now if you want to see a FULL GAME, just look at Halo: Reach.

how does that even make sense? a halo 3 expansion you would be the freaking chief. in an expansion gameplay is the same. they dont redo the controls and make a new way of playing in an EXPANSION

The point is we're paying for something twice. Microsoft, the publishers (the ones that decide the price), said themselves that we are.

I don't know what else to tell you duckee.

Look at GTA IV the expansion pack they gave you Johnny Klebitz, so now your thinking of an expansion pack is now wrong.

Why are people caring so much about the God Damn Price.

You should be happy to get the game and play it.

I say if you argue about the price then you need to go outside.

I like the way you said, "You should be happy to get the game and play it." Bungie isn't the greatest game maker in the world, I could have lived without Halo 3.

Bungie's not the greatest game studio nor the most innovative, but their the most logical they employ what their target audiences want along with getting others to join.

Not true. Has the controls of the Halo FPS series changed that much? No. And were Halo: CE, Halo 2, and Halo 3 full games: Yes. So there is no need to redo the controls just to make a new game. Also, in GTA4 LTD, you played as a different person but it still was an EXPANSION PACK that did not cost as much money as the original game. In fact, it cost about 40 dollars LESS. It added a ton of new things. That's what an expansion pack is supposed to be: it adds new things to the game and not cost as much as the original. Halo 3: ODST is just adding a new campaign, Firefight, and 3 new maps. I don't see how that could be worth $60.

But I know that M$ could just raise the price and the Halo fanatics wouldn't say a word, because it's a Halo game. They would just smile, waive and say thank you for raising the price of the game.

in GTA IV are you making the radical jump from spartan to odst trooper? No youre still a human being nothing changes you just look different. and you basically just said that anything after halo:CE isnt worth $60 using the logic you are

Actually, you are wrong. I just countered your statement that if they make a new game for the series, that dosen't mean that they have to redo the controls. Yet you said that a new games requires a redo of the original controls. READ it close next time will ya? Jeez.

Also, I wouldn't consider the jump from a super human bad ass Spartan to an ODST to be radical. We have just been gimped down to a less powerful, but pretty cool ODST.

Yes, the maps are why ODST is $60.

Why is this still being argued?, it has already been shown that the maps are the reason why.

Which makes it a completely different experience. Expansions are just the same experience with new stuff to do. in this we get a new experience and a new campaign making it a new game in my opinion and not an expansion

they employ what their target audiences want I don't want to buy something twice....

If you call that logical I don't know what to tell you. Nobody else IN THE WORLD OF BUSINESS is making me buy something twice. NO ONE.

It might be the second disc that's makeing it more expensive. It wouldn't be the maps anyway. I think it's a reosonable price. For all that it comes with it's worth it

new stuff WITH a new experience. an expansion just gives more missions to the same game. but im pretty sure if i fire up my halo 3 and look for new campaign missions as the chief i wont find them. However in this new game i get to play as an odst and have a new awesome experience with a new kickass campaign
