I'm not arguing whether or not it is an expansion.

I'm saying that it is no longer considered an expansion BECAUSE it includes H3's multiplayer. I think this is not fair because I already paid money in Halo 3 (for the multiplayer).

And before anyone asks, WE ARE paying for it (and the maps). Microsoft has stated this twice. I have posted links all across this site. People can't seem to understand the problem.

We're paying for something twice.

if you dont like the price dont buy it, there is nothing u can do about it argueing is certainly not going to lower the price.

If you don't feel like the game is worth it. I would suggest not buying the game. I seriously doubt anyone would make a lower price now because of all the pre-orders showing a lot of people feel the game is worth it.

Either way when ODST launches I'll be enjoying it while others can be enjoying that $60 they saved.

Awareness is better than ignorance, it can help you make smart decisions. We can't change anything, but we don't put our faith blindly into Microsoft because it's Halo and HAS to be alright. Also they wouldn't state free things in half the stated features. Hell, the inclusion of H3's multiplayer alone means it's an expansion, otherwise it would be a new original one, or none at all. The fact that there is so many untouched H3 features tells the same thing.

You guys can't seem to accept it is an expansion, are you the ones afraid to buy it the full price because it wouldn't be a full game?

PS: I'll buy the game.

yes, the maps are part of the price.

This article does not say what is part of the price. it is typical PR crap that avoids the question asked

Bungie Studios has suggested that Halo 3 ODST won't be as long as Halo 3. So why will it run the cost of a full game?

[LISTS WHY IT COSTS LIKE A FULL GAME]

That list has the h3 multiplayer and maps. Which means that we're buying it twice...

I'm watching you!

The OP is right, but wrong.

What he got right was that the maps aren't making it $60. What he got wrong was what is making it $60.

If all you idiots who saying were paying for the same thing twice kindly shut up and read I'll explain.

If anyone has read all the ODST interviews they would know that when asked why ODST is full price now, Bungie said "ODST was originally just an expansion to HALO 3, but further on in the development progress, the game game became less and less of an expansion, and more of a full game."

And tgus means that the maps are actually a bonus, your not paying for the maps, your paying for the game and the maps are the icing on the cake.
