Will Halo: 3 ODST make proper use of this feature, where it won't slow the loading times down un-like Halo: 3 did?

I've been reading topics on the ODST forum and I haven't seen one yet talking about it. If there is an article about this does anyone mind linking it?

<(0_0<) <(0_0)> (>0_0)>(>0_0<) .

I would assume it is alot like halo 3's HUD but it might be different in some ways (you are able to use the night vision thing, i forget what it's called), you can always watch gameplay videos.

...Love, love is a blind man's game, you have to look around to know where you are...

you can install odst to your hard drive so you don't need the disc to play

edit: so that means you can insert the second disc and still play odst campaign and you can just switch in if you want to

No no, that's wrong. You still need the disks and properly switch them to play. That's how installing to the HDD works. It just merely makes the game run smoother (except in the case of Halo 3)

u still have to have the disk in. probly some microsoft issue to make sure its not a pireted disk

The AR is an awesome weapon, RESPECT IT AS SUCH!!!

i believe that it has been designed with the "install to HDD" feature in mind. it would be stupid not to wouldnt it? i mean, the game is free-roam, so it would probably require much larger loading times, right?

I understand you can install the ODST disc, but what about the second, multiplayer disc? Since half the maps are already saved on the HDD , can we save the rest too, or would it be better to delete the downloaded maps and just play off the disc?

It has been confirmed that the second disk runs the same as Halo 3 did if installed to the Hard Drive (badly, for anyone that doesn't know). It is unknown about the state of the Campaign/FireFight disk.

ODST Disk is faster when downloaded

Multiplayer disk is slower when downloaded

Here’s what Luke had to say about the differences in treatment between the Spartans and Elites in Reach:

“Instead of piece-by-piece customization like the Spartans, Elite customization is a full model swap with models selected from the various Elite classes appearing throughout the Campaign. There are all kinds of reasons for this, not the least of which is our continued emphasis on the Spartan as your identity in Reach.”

You can install the ODST campaign/Firefight disk to the HD without problems. DO NOT install the H3 Multiplayer/Map disk to the hard drive.

if you deleted them from hard drive they would no longer work for halo 3 considering you would no longer have them but thats if you still want to play h3

There are people who illegally make it so they can play without the disc >.> -looks at im1st2die- you belong in jail

Install campaign, don't multiplayer.

Seems very reasonable, and logical.

Thanks for the reply guys.
