Subject: Halo 2 glitches and eggs

I actually enjoyed having a whole bunch of glitches and easter eggs in Halo 2. This just a place for people to post glitches they experienced that they liked. Example: Sometimes, when you killed a brute with an explosive, their head goes under the floor and their body wiggles around in a handstand position. I thought that was pretty funny.

Well, since nobody is responding, I made this page so people can have fun exploring and finding eggs.

Really awesome, Grumpy. I didn't know killzones dropped. You are not at the head of the class, my friend, you are the principal.

Ooh, I love those people, the ones who decide to throw everything and the kitchen sink at you, as if an M16 does anything to a T-90. Oh, MLG player with noobtube instead? Congrats! You blew off one of my ablative plates!

Gun, meet Bad Guy.

My main campaign focus is attaining the fastest no-die run on Legendary or above with style. So these aren't really glitches, but, somewhat egg-like in that they aid in that pursuit:

Cairo: Elite/noob trick - Plasma overcharge+BR=quick Elite kill.

Outskirts: Skip Sniper Alley - In Hunter hallway, rebar on left=jump to roof...hotel ahead to left.

Metropolis: Tanks alot - The Scorpion (Or Wraith) can get over the initial tunnel barrier.
The Park - Carefully timed run can avoid the snipers, and rushing past the next Wraith on a Ghost is possible.

Arbiter: Stay frosty.

Oracle: The "elevator" has a jump into hiding spot away from the middle. It+active cammo=survival.

Delta Halo: Entire 1st sequence can be skipped by running along the right side to Jackal area. "You Break it..." - Smallish hill on right side=easy vehicular access to top of map. Can drop into the last part of level at the large pillar/tree area.

Regret: Wait For It - 1st Grunt/Jackal room has crumbling wall - can hop up to easy sniping.
On 1st Gondola, jump onto attacking Gondola and snipe distant Jackals at your destination.

Sacred Icon: Go - Arbiter can run through entire 1st portion to the Gondola without firing an offensive shot. After activating, go to the Gondola rear and drop down. Wait safely for a checkpoint or two when you arrive at the other side.

Quarantine Zone: Scorpion makes life easier, but...After the 1st "enforcer" area, jump up on the projections on the left side. Follow this around, and you'll skip many Flood nasties.
Gondola Fun - Swap out for needler & head to back of Gondola. You can simply jump up onto the "spine" of it and run forward. Looks like you're falling, but you'll end up on an "invisible" platform that allows for completely safe destruction of the Flood below. Wait till the end.

Gravemind: Safety - Turn left and follow Grunt into "room" as level begins. Safe spot. Gather needler & bpr after and head to covered area at other end of room & await next waves. Last Grunt is the initiation of the next wave. Otis - When "rescuing" Marines, equip w. Covt Sniper and Carbine, jump into lift. When you land, turn around and swap sniper w. Brute shot. (You'll need it later) Just walk off the (right) side and you'll land on the bottom floor. Can even set up barriers using Brute shot melee. A bridge too far - When you get to the 1st energy bridge, drop over the side. (Must have several grenades) Go forward till wave initiation. (Careful for sniper...) Grenade jump back up to where you originally were, and it's easy pickings.

Uprising: Skippy - In the 1st outdoor scene, "Step Aside..." kill of everyone, including the guys down below. Hop up onto the wall (right), and see a smallish tree. Use this as your...back support, and a few crouch jumps will put you onto the top of the map. Snipe the (left/middle) Jackal, and head right. Dropping down smartly will effectively end of the level.

High Charity: Otis II - When you take the elevator up towards the end (but not the last one) of the level, immediately run left and hop up onto the...structure and into the left top Flood spawn "room." Back into it and wait for two Flood spawns. Will be "safe" then.

The Great Journey: Cover Me - When Arbiter arrives outside with the Council members, he only needs to kill the three Wraiths. He should then boost through the canyon to the destination. Wait around - the Scarab will arrive without help. Brute Force - When inside, Arbiter should run along the right wall and activate cammo when he sees the door open. No need to even engage, just run into the door.

Sorry for the longest post of all times, but, could help someone. PM me if these suggestions don't work. Have been at this thing for a while.

Coolness on the speedrun thing. It will be hard to beat Cody Miller's time of 3:16:28 for his Legendary, no death, single segment run. Greatest vid I've witnessed.

Are you doing it segmented?

I heard about that one. Will look up the video - he must be skipping a lot of stuff, or have every move planned, because the sheer geography involved equals time. Will not be eclipsing Mr. Miller anytime soon. I just do single levels; the H-3 Mythic/Legendary are nice, cause you've got a saved film w. accurate timer.

Well, segmented is cool beans. Most people at HSH do segmented runs and any level done with no deaths Legendary is awesome.
