Re-read the drop-pod description carefully. Then dig up your copy of Starship Trooper. Does Bungie WANT to be sued?

Seriously, the wording is almost exactly the same, uses the same slang, and in general Bungie could get in serious trouble.

If there is enough activity here, Bungie MIGHT notice their (mistake, oversight, etc?) and fix it. Hopefully before Robert Heinlein does.

Note to you and everyone else. Every single science fiction, game, story, movie, book, ect. copy from three main sources.

1) Starship Troopers. IE: ODST Drop Pod, the Spartan II's.
2) i. Robot. IE: Robots.
3) Alien. IE: The Flood, crazy aliens.

People copy ideas...it happens.

Dog carcass in alley this morning, tire tread on burst stomach. This city is afraid of me. I have seen it's true face. The streets are extended gutters and the gutters are full of blood and when the drains finally scab over, all the vermin will drown. The accumulated filth of all their sex and murder will foam up about their waists and all the whores and politicians will look up and shout "Save us!"...

...and I'll look down, and whisper "no."

They could be just referencing it.

Who were the Spartan-IIs in Starship Troopers?

2) i. Robot. IE: Robots.Halo doesn't copy that. In iRobot, the robots aren't allowed to kill people under any circumstances. Sentinels readily fight the Chief.

Yea, I would like some clarification on that one please.

Also the idea of super-soldiers and aliens is far older than any property you've mention. Those things happen. I don't recal single passenger atmosphere entry pods in Starship Troopers either. Being as they were featured in Halo2, i'm sure something would have happened already if there was patent infringement.

You also don't have any proof that they didn't get permission. It's Bungie, either they didn't need permission or they got it.
