I have created questions about some potential problems for Halo 2, and I would like some coherent discussion regarding the issues I bring up.

Would vehicle damage is really annoying, and take away from the game? If you manage to get a vehicle to a base, there's no way it's still gonna be there for you to escape on. Often times the warthog is just used for kamikazees becuase the driver knows its just gonna blow up anyway.

Would vehicle hijacking get really annoying? It wouldn't matter because the vehicles gonna blow up real soon if its around enemies anyway.

Would dual weilding be a must? Would anybody online use the one gun and a grenade option, because its just nowhere near as powerful or useful?

All the news sources have touched on jumping being a lot more floaty. It could completely change the game. So much so that in the situation of one player firing a rocket at another players feet, the first player can easily jump up and out of harm.

Questions? Comments? Please, coherently post 'em.

No Vehicle Damage is good plus the Vehicles are tuffer now

No it would be annoying thats what you get for driving to slow

DW isn't a must sometimes its better to have the stronger one handed weapons like a Shotgun over DW P pistols

Ok, note that you can only jack vehicles going at a certain speed, and that dual wielding and one-gun-one-nade are pretty balanced out. As I always say, truly skilled players will quickly adapt to these new mechanics and find ways to defeat the people that use them.

In the middle of combat, you're not going to be going at top speed. You're going to be going slow, to steady yourself, as to have generally better accuracy. Hence, when you're going slower, you're going to be shot at and perhaps even jacked.

vehicle damage is awesome. without it, its lame. its one of the things that was missing from halo1 mp. it balances the vehicles more, and adds to the skill level for using one. and a warthog had to take 6 missiles before it blew up? thats plenty of life for me. and the ghost...just drive away from everyone.

highjacking is hard to do. itd be annoying to not be able to pull it off and get squashed. but if that happens, its your own damn fault.

you can get kills with one weapon, as well. remember halo1? im probably going to go SMG and grenades. chances are, ill get some kills.

yeah, you jump higher, but you are in the air for about the same amount of time in halo1. i like the idea. i can still jump to do an air melee, since you arnt in the air longer, and can jump over vehicles that are boosting[maybe]. and jumping in the air and doing melee combos midair against an opponent[s]....ohhhhhh. its better than the matrix ever was-not that it was good.

How can they be tougher? They were indestructible before, now they're breakable.

Refer to my above post for an explaination on that.

Two plasma pistols could take down a chief with two fully charged shots.

I'm not gonna worry about that because I use vehicels mainly for transportation mainly. And if you look, the vehicles in Halo 1 have their weaknesses. As I said, the truly skilled players adapted and found ways to defeat the bigger foes. Oh, and two plama pistols charged doesn't take care of a player, I've played like that and it takes a bit more oomph. Besides, charged shots are easy to dodge.

Think of it this way in Halo you health was lik e vehicle health so when you got killed the vehicle died. But no it takes two direct shots and 6 splash damage from rockets to kill.

I explained that one by saying thats when you boost and run his ass over

So could two shotgun blast plus you can throw a grenade on his face and make it so he has to dodge before he can shoot

"Think about it" it would be a lot better for worthogs can be Damaged just say when you playing Halo 2 and someone keeps killing you with the worthog just take a rocket lauger and blast and hell out of them or try and highjack the worthog and kill them plus when a vehicle gets blow to pieces it will respawn some time and dual guns is going to be alsome!

What he means is that the Ghost for example can take far more punichment than it ever could in Halo 1 campaign. just now they are destructable in MP as well. And BTW there will almost certainly be an option in game create where you can turn off vehicle destructability.

Also, two fully charged Plama bolts from a plasma pistol does not take out a chief. in fact if you were observant enough, you would have noticed that after MC's shield was down an additional fully charged plasma bolt would only take off 1 bar of health. repeat 1 bar of health! so it would not be a simple case of "oo look an enemy master chief" *charges plasma pistols* *fires roughly in MC's direction* *both hit* " yeah he's dead!" I would be more like "oo look enemy master chief" *charges* *fires**only fire with one though* *hits* *shield gone* "Oh crap my shield is gone" *follows up with rappid shots from other, non over heated PP then..... enemy MC dead*
It wouldn't be as easy as you made out.
