Sounds like a bunch of Justin Bieber wannabes in here. I bet you all wear skinny jeans too.
I think it would be cool if you can turn off the visor tint in Halo: Reach and customize your Spartan's face. I.E, change his skin tone, eye color, eye shape, nose size, etc. It should be rather straight forward and it can follow several specific options already there (Rather than moving a bar to the left and right to adjust the size of the nose, it would just have things like Nose: Large. Nose: Medium. Nose: Small.)
Here's an example of what it could look like:
Helmet: Mark V
Skin tone: Pale
Eye color: Hazel
Eye shape: Rounded
Nose size: Medium
Body: Mark V
Left shoulder: Mark V
Right shoulder: Mark V
Obviously you won't need to worry about hair because their wearing a helmet, and you can't exactly see their mouth when their wearing a helmet (Full-faced helmets have always been like that, there's always a piece in front of your mouth, example) so you won't need those customization options there.
So yes, this is extremely useless. However, so is the armor permutation editor on Halo 3. This will just be thrown in there for kicks, and hopefully the players character will also throw in a few facial expressions. Like, when he's sniping he might look concentrated and when he has a shotgun out and he's charging near an enemy he might look eager to kill somebody.
And just for anyone who doesn't have the slightest clue on what I'm talking about, in the Halo universe the full-faced helmets (such as the ODST helmets and Mark IV, V, and VI helmets) have a visor to see through, right? Well, this visor can be polarized and un-polarized much like sunglasses. So, what I'm implying is why not throw in an option in the customization menu allowing you to turn down the polarization for your face plate and allow you to tweak your Spartans face for multiplayer?
Just a thought, drop a reply if you like / dislike and give your ideas. Remember, Halo: Reach is still under development so if you start suggesting ideas now, they could very welly be implemented into the game (Yes, Bungie does listen to their fans.)
