How about instead they increase the range.
Add a moving crosshair forcing players to burst, and teach them about bursting the rifle in campaign. Equal out the bursting in gameplay to make it fast paced, but not a chore like it currently is in Halo 3.
Give the weapon a weaker melee damage to help keep people from bullet hosing the weapon and charging.
No offense but that idea would only work in campaign. . When 2 players go at eachother this type of game engine "or whatever ud call it" would favor who ever gets the easier moving aimer. for the short time being. plus ,because different sensitivities would work different.idk Just seems too out there and probably make me alil dizzy and hurt my head.
But lowering the AR melee dmg seems understandable.
