Subject: Will there be lag in Halo 3:ODST?

The one who struggles against death is far stronger than the one who simply has no fear of it.

It might sound like a stupid question, but I've noticed that when playing Halo 3 Co-Op Campaign mode over Xbox Live. There is a noticable lag for the host player for at least the following actions: Jumping, Meleeing.
Has anyone else noticed this issue? The lag between a button press and the action happening on screen in the above game type?
The reason I'm bringing this up is that argueably ODST will heavily favor the type of gameplay featured in Halo 3 Co-Op with Firefight, and the actual new campaign itself.
I apologize if this topic had been discussed in this thread before.

Why Hello There ;D

There's always going to be lag..in every game over XBL. It just comes down to:

"Is your connection McDonalds WiFi?"

Yeah, were talking about a substantial amount of lag though. I have feeling if left unchecked. This might be as 'gamebreaking' as pre patch melees were in the competitive matchmaking. For Halo 3:ODST at least.
Has anyone else though recently come across this problem?

It depends on the connection. Campaign lag is very different to matchmaking lag, you won't ever get people teleporting around but the FPS will slow down or button pushes will not register instead.

Which unfortunately is my point. If that type of lag was prevailent for the entire life time of Halo 3:ODST.
I'm not saying I know the answer, but if it's not adressed I can almost guarantee that the Forums will be clogged with such headers as: "Game Failure", "Bungie Drops the ball on ODST drop." or, "Oh God! The Lag! It burns!"

I wonder if there WAS ever one person in the history of forever, who went their entire life without suffering any injury, and didn't die a premature death (such as stillbirth).

anything using internet has lag. Why do you think web pages have to load? It takes time for the different consoles to talk to each other

As I keep saying. It's a 'considerable' amount of lag. When hosting an Xbox Live Halo 3 Co-op game, all your actions seem to have a lag of about half a second. Now Imagine that, now imagine having that for the entire ODST campaign experience, and for every single match of Firefight you play over Xbox Live.
