a prequel kills the story and gameplay? well... that's news to me.

I'd actually say it ENHANCES the backstory, and it can also UPGRADE the gameplay, why would they take a step backwards?

nobody knows if Mc is in reach. and even if he is not, so what? it's still a halo game.
lastly, HW was a great game.

- Bungie did not make Halo Wars, Ensemble did.
- Halo: Reach has been confirmed to be a FPS
- Prequels help expand the Halo universe, just like sequels do.

IN MY NOOB OPINION halo wars was carp you know that. Im just saying that because I got pwnd online.
I SUCKED AT IT

fixed.
and metacritics says it's a goodgame. so stfu.

also, if you cant follow a story, then I advise you stick with the mp side of any video game. mass effect/star wars/lotr/halo are too complicated for you it seems.

i found halo Wars very unstrategic as well.. the set bases is just...silly in my opinion maybe if the bases werent set in stone then it could have been more strategic and TRUE RTS game.. story was awesum.. and cusecene 'drools' =(

First of all, they make pre-quels because the majority of people (besides you of course) have enough brains, to figure it out.

Secondly, Have you even played Halo wars?

So before it was halo1,thehalo2,then halo 3. But all of the sudden they are killing the gameplay by making prequels to the game. They are killing the story, why cant bungie just make it simple by making sequels. Like seriously was there a need to make halo wars. Why can't bungie just make sequels like they did before. Now its all like before halo 3 but after halo 2(odst). Before Halo 1(Reach). And now i am hearing that the main character mastercheif isnt even going to be in reach. Seriously he wasnt in halo odst, halo wars and maybe reach. Please tell me your opinions.

You obviously didn't do your homework and now you're just blaming Bungie for a game they didn't make. Ensemble Studios made Halo Wars and if you actually read the FAQ, you would know Halo: Reach is an FPS.

I doubt you read the books either so stop complaining when you don't know about your own topic.

yes you have. you've been owned and you're angry at the game and you say it suck only because you can't handle the fact YOU suck at this game.
you wish there was a rocket launcher to own everybody like in H3, don't you?

How does a prequel kill the gameplay and kill the story? You don't even KNOW what the gameplay will be like, let alone the direction they take the story.

Why do people insist on judging this title before we have any significant information on it?

Because most people don't research on the story or game information, which reading the books helps ALOT in understanding the way the games do or don't link up.

In Soviet Russia, Xbox plays you.

Do you even know what you're talking about?

Since when does making a prequel kill story and gameplay. For one there taking a step forward in terms of gameplay, every game in a franchise does it. Having a prequel story also expands the back story of the universe, and they can't really make a sequel to Halo 3 since the Covenant & Flood are dead.

YOU'RE STILL ALIVE?!?

Halo Wars was good. Who cares if it isn't from Bungie? Who cares if it's a RTS game? OK a lot of people care. But they shouldn't.

Bungie has always created their games in a way that doesn't require you to have read the novels to understand the story. What makes you think this will be any different? You don't need to read the novels to understand a prequel, especially when it is likely that the prequel will touch on the major events from the novel in some way anyway.

-.-' i didn't say you HAVE to read the books to understand the story. I'm just saying that it HELPS in linking the knowledge you have from the books with the game.

I guess a prequel is good for people like you, those who don't read books too often. Most people who did read the Halo books are pretty hyped for HR. Also I ABSOLUTELY HATE RTS games, but Halo Wars was a pretty good game. Don't flame a game because you don't like it.
