POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!

All right , The ODST wear the pressure suits because they work in space, but why do the ODST in this one wear fingerless gloves, if there was the slightes change in presser in the HEV in space during the drop, they would have no protection, just as if they had no suit, there body would tear out thou there gloves holes. so whats the point?

Your blood will clean the blood for now.

Wtf your body tear out through those little finger holes???

  • 07.09.2009 2:16 PM PDT

The suits actually have a substance in which blocks any potential danger in the event of depressurization.

As seen in Contact Harvest.

Let me give you a bit of advice: stop trying to analyze this game. Bungie already made it clear that they don't care if something does or doesn't make sense in H3:ODST (quote; "it's a -BLAM!- game"). So to summarize...

How does Johnson use VISR mode with no helmet?
"it's a -BLAM!- game"

How can an ODST carry a turret when it gives Chief trouble?
"it's a -BLAM!- game"

Why do ODSTs have 0G suits with fingerless gloves?
"it's a -BLAM!- game"

Gee, I can't wait for the Spartans in H3:Reach to fly around like Ironman just because
"it's a -BLAM!- game"

I had a very similar thing, only I threw a 14 story building out of a pool and hit a kid on a paper aeroplane.

Man, I miss the days of Halo: CE and Halo 2 when you could just have fun with your buddies, chat on the forums and not see all these "z0mg dis r s0000 unrelistocz111@one!!!

It's a video game. Of course it won't be realistic.

Hush. If you’re quiet enough, you can hear it on lips of unborn babes.

They do have the VISR mode. Also, if their mission requested they be in space I'm pretty sure they'd be able to get the ODST's some gloves.

Oh and the reason their fingertips are exposed is so they can feel the trigger of their gun while they're shooting. This is something even real life marines do.

The reason the forum has become like this is because too many people bought Halo 3.

By people, you mean the 12 year olds that should be outside riding their bikes and not stuck inside playing video games that they shouldn't even be playing.

No. That's not true at all.

Bungie used to explain every little detail in their games back in the days of Marathon and Pathways Into Darkness. In fact, they went out of their way to do so. Now it's like they don't care about the story so much as selling the game.

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. ~ Einstien

ODSTs are heavy drop troopers used to support the marines during ground combat. Other than low orbit drops, I dont think the ODSTs will see much space combat. So the trendy finger holes in the suit are acceptable.

  • 07.09.2009 6:39 PM PDT

You do know that they could easily change gloves once they drop, right?

  • 07.09.2009 6:40 PM PDT

Simple Solution.

Pressurised Drop Pods and Pressurised Orbital ship meaning no risk at all.

why is this a problem? it's just a game. Why are you so upset; or do you really just want them all in their B-day suits?

It gets hot in africa and ODSTs wear all black. Don't you think it would be a little uncomfortable.
