Does anyone else remember when the saying "Pardon Our Dust" came up during the first Halo 3: ODST (at the time Halo 3: Recon). Pardon Our Dust, for those of you who don't know, is used to signal some sort of construction or renonvation being done to an area.

I now wonder what could the city of New Mombasa was fixing before the Covenant crashed the party. Perhaps it was a whole new area of the city and maybe we might make our way through it.

Or perhaps it is something more important. Perhaps the Superintendent was getting some sort of upgrade or anti-virus software. If this is true, then maybe the SI may go rampant due to the Covenant possibly hacking into his system. This is just a theory.

But what do you think?

" Truth? You will Never know Truth!"

"My tears cannot cover the blood that has been spill."

"I lead my troops into battle. With strong morale and man power, we will overcome the invaders!"

Maybe making houses?

Apparently your reading comprehension is not all there, I didn't say that it necessarily irritates me. It's just annoying.

*Head explodes*

It was a pun; the ODSTs come in a little hot, and when they hit the ground, you know. An impact like that with a that type of mass will probably spring up a cloud of dust. Remember in the first trailer where The Rookie crashed into the building? Did you see the dust pop up? That's what it meant.

J-H

The SI might be mistaking all the destruction for construction (in the midst of rampancy, perhaps?? just a thought) or could be trying to make it sound like it's all been done on purpose as a means of construction rather than destruction.
