So you've tracked me down...

Be sure to check out my Youtube profile for all of my videos.

Nice, how do the environmental artists work with the concept artists in the production stages and what do they do once a game is released?

It was nice to have a quick skim through, i'll look at it more closely now :)

Also, it was nice to watch a the Bungie team come back from 2 kills down to win 50 - 48 on one of my maps in the Bungie Day playlist :)

Awesome. I loled at his picture. Stuck in the Flood Tank in Cold Storage. You guys do work when it comes to pictures.

I like the last segment, that talks about how you should focus on one type of 3D art. I would love to be a scenery artist, especially after seeing the Skybox design on ODST.

3. Don't ever mess with the Flood "Sea Monkeys" two minutes before the game ships.

???

Damn, at first glance I mistook Vic DeLeon for ViDoc. So I got all excited for a moment there. Curse you dyslexia moments.

"What could be better than a regular waffle"

"A Chickenwaffle, perhaps?"

I love these. They're like a little taste of Bungie.......it's a little sweatier than I thought it would be.....

Check out the group, Planet Reach and talk about Bungie's next game without the annoyance of the public forum. Oh and it's nice there too.

You thought you had lag, it took Jesus 3 days to re-spawn.

Nice interview with Vic there. No mention of Nathan Fillion anywhere? I'm shocked.

Man, that would really suck to explain to your boss.

"Hey, uh, ya know how those sea monkeys seemed a little unnatural in their swimming?"
"Yeah..."
"Well, now their kind of, well, dead......"
"WHAT?!?!?!?!"

Forever praise Lord Jesus Christ, The Father, The Holy Spirit, the one true Lord Almighty God, and bless all forever in His holy name :)

The Cortana level has a really different looking environment more than any other level in Halo 3. It's cool that you helped to work on it. Good job Vic.

These forums have the worst staff ever. I've me hundreds of staff on large sites and been one myself dozens of times. And never can I say that I've ever met any other staff members this rude and ignorant.

Wow. You are honestly one of my many heros. Many quotes and so inspiration. (Not that I didn't already have enough. xD)

But you brought up something that stumped me. When you reminded us to do all you can in one subject. That got me thinking. I live (typo? Maybe not) lighting and texturing. In fact, I've learned more about that in Autodesk Maya than my teacher knew. :) So that's what I want to be my future. I told him that. And for our Class presentation (for our schools art show) I was quoted. "Texturing is fun. In some cases, it's putting the grass on the ground and the clouds in the sky". Thought of that off the top of my head. Got applauded for it too. :D

But anyway! Back to what I was trying to say. If I want to do lighting and texturing, should I just learn all I can about UV Mapping, Photoshop, how light works, all the attributes, etc? Or should I center my knowledge around environment, characters or other things?

Please answer this. :)

I'll keep this for future need of applying at Bungie.

What if messing with the "sea monkeys" wound up being a monumental moment in animation. Sometimes it's good to put things on the line at the last minute. If you work for Bungie & think it's the right choice, the fans will believe in you.Posted by: Mini Waz

I noticed you had a lot of maps on Bungie day. Nice work I really enjoyed them(sorry to get off topic for a second).

Freedom has two parts: potential and resolution; as metaphors have two parts : form and interpretation; of course, the two are intertwined. Metaphor lines the road to freedom, as symbols and words are the bricks and mortar of meaning. Freedom being the briocoleus, the mason.

Can someone fill me in on what the sea monkeys were?
