I would like to see a short training mission in the cruiser where the first cutscene takes place. That would be sweet.

That would be amazing. I think the tutorial level is the first level, as it introduces jumping, and taking down enemies, and health packs, etc.

Have health packs been confirmed to be in ODST?

  • 07.09.2009 6:53 PM PDT

if he isnt lying and it is Halo Legends what could that possibly be?

  • 07.09.2009 6:54 PM PDT

If you would like to hear the list of the ways technologies have failed to make life easier, press 3

since their mission was to land on the covenant ship, shouldn't the training be for that?

it'd be funny if they had a covenant ship mockup for the training, just to land back on earth

A training mission is always nice to see.

halo legends doesnt sound like a bungie title, but if thats true i think you would play as some of the most important "legends" throughout the entire covenant human war, like arbiters tarturas, kurt, maybe the chief, linda, that would actually be a pretty awesome game!

Hopefully the training mission doesn't try to rip-off of the training mission in Call of Duty 4. Also, we all know that reckless10 is lying for one reason and one reason alone: it has been confirmed that the third project has nothing to do with Halo. It is a new IP by Jason Jones that has yet to be seen (excluding Bungie employees and honorary Bungie employee Nathan Fillion) or announced. So no, it is not some Halo: Legends. Also, your friend (talking to reckless) probably knew about Reach because of the forum leak that happened a day before E3.

They'd have to include the "Look up and down. Good. Invert Controls? Y/N" so that makes sense.

That sounds awesome. Plus, Superintendent could do it with Rookie.

Would you mind me quoting your last sentence out of context?

yeah but dont you think that would be sweet to have a mission as tartus one time and go back to johnson on harvest and then just go all over the timeline. that sounds awesome!

I was in 5th grade. I popped in the Halo CE disc into the massive, clunky first generation Microsoft Xbox, and wrapped my small hands around the controller that was almost too big for me. Little did I know what I was getting into.

10+ years later, I still look up to my childhood hero, Master Chief, while everyone talks about He Man and Spongebob haha

"It's better to live one day as a lion, then one hundred years as a sheep." -Italian Proverb

A Marine scout sniper was once asked what he felt when he killed terrorists.
His response? "Recoil"

"Though I walk through the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I fear no evil, for You are with me."

I think it would help to have a training mission, just to explain some of the new stuff, like the VISR and health packs.

  • 07.10.2009 9:35 AM PDT

You don't have the authority, Sir.

within all halo games, there has been a quick configuration setting, maybe he meant that, not the whole big whoop like your on about in cod 4...

Who knows...

Punch a bear in the face.

If you don't know who I am, the feeling is mutual.

I'd like it if you could use the training mission as an oppurtunity to pick your loadout when you drop. I honestly really want to bring a sniper down.

  • 07.10.2009 9:53 AM PDT

that would be awesome to pick your weapon

  • 07.10.2009 10:03 AM PDT

Every Halo has had a training mission.. One where they ease you into aiming, shooting, and grenade control. Why would this one be any different?

I doubt they mean a COD style training course, they just mean the tutorial level.

Maybe the Rookie is the character we play as in mile high club in cod 4. JK They did mention training. I think it'll probably be the first level where the Rookie hops out of his pod and you'll have to complete objectives like "find a health kiosk, get your map, activate you visr" to continue.

Duracell.
I don't keep going and going and going and...
but i Start, and just don't Stop.

So what if the saxophone is black?
it has better tone the the gold one.

no its not like that. they said you have a training mission on the ship and it was like an obstacle course. i think the rookie does the course gets tired and falls alseep in his pod to rest. very likely.

When did they say this?

  • 07.10.2009 11:39 AM PDT

They could have the little pop up guys like on the Pit. That would be sweet. Also, The Superintendant has no -blam!- organs, so he and the Rookie cannot "do it"
