He has USB ports, good enough.

My question is, what will pressing up or down on the d-pad do? The d-pad never really does much in all of the halo games so why would it be important now? If you dont get what im saying, listen to the most recent bungie podcast.

well when you find the SI you press up on the D-pad to veiw your map of the city, i dont know if the other ones do anything.

it appears you have fallen into a sarchasm...
its the gap between someone making a sarcastic comment, and you picking up on that sarcasm...

Well they need a tutuorial.

This is standalone, people who haven't played halo can still play this one.

I would like to see a short training mission in the cruiser where the first cutscene takes place. That would be sweet.

Maybe they'll have a hot-wiring meta-game.
Grand Theft Auto: New Mombasa. TM.

no its not like that. they said you have a training mission on the ship and it was like an obstacle course. i think the rookie does the course gets tired and falls alseep in his pod to rest. very likely.

i think your forgetting one thing... logic.
1. why would he fall asleep in his pod it is only like a few minute ride .
2. why would he fall asleep if he doesn't know if there are covenant in the city.
3. if he fell asleep don't you think the crash would wake him up. obviously he was unconcious.

your statment didn't have any logic at all. i have to agree with you on one thing though. a training mission would be awsome.

ok well first off, there is a training mission! and second the rookie is asleep in his pod. you can see it in the first cutscene somewhere on youtube that bungie released. and how isnt it logical that the rookie was tired and fell asleep?

Well it adds depth into the game. Like COD 3.

It probably won't:

Training in HALO:CE was for the players to get used to the controls.
Training in HALO2 was for players to get used to the new features ang get back into the feel of the controls.
Training in HALO3 was the same for the reason HALO2's training.

Since ODST is only 2 years after HALO3, not 7 years, players should be able to remeber the controls + REACH might not have training either because it comes out 1 year after ODST does.

Not that kind of "do it" perverts he means the training mission.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

A massive battle at the beginning which turns out to be a battle simulation would be an awesome way of introducing the game.

yeah but this is a new approach to halo dumbass! the training mission will teach us how to use the visor, our new wepons, and hopefully a simulated battle! which would be soooo much fun!!!

He means during the first cutscene, not during the drop.
