RAWR!
Posted by: Monisevenor IzitPosted by: Unit_Delta46Posted by: nuchyno its not like that. they said you have a training mission on the ship and it was like an obstacle course. i think the rookie does the course gets tired and falls alseep in his pod to rest. very likely.i think your forgetting one thing... logic.1. why would he fall asleep in his pod it is only like a few minute ride . 2. why would he fall asleep if he doesn't know if there are covenant in the city. 3. if he fell asleep don't you think the crash would wake him up. obviously he was unconcious. your statment didn't have any logic at all. i have to agree with you on one thing though. a training mission would be awsome. He means during the first cutscene, not during the drop. yeah because he didnt read it right.
hell no!
Posted by: Wing3d F33tPosted by: Echo_Posted by: M1K35 TR1K3i would like to see like a basic training where u get a knife to hold out instead of COD's click to take out. i would also like a throwing knifeoh come on! a knife has no use to you if a brute is in front of you with a energy armor. You never know a knife saved forges life in halo wars why not nowBecause that fight was bull-blam!-. The only reason Forge won was to continue giving kids that play it the idea that the good guys always win.
i would hope that the training mission would be like a virtual range in which you would have to do all sorts of things, such as, sneaking, weapon training, etc.
I would hate a Training Mission in ODST. I think it would totally take away from that feel of being alone in a City so maybe the Training mission would happen on the ship if anywhere but the Cut Scene of you dropping in is what starts the whole campaign so there is no mission before that part. So a training mission seems like a no go to me. Seems more like you would be learning as you go but since it is still the same controls basically as Halo 3 then you wouldn't need to learn much. Plus anything you do need to learn the Super. probably tells you about. But I highly doubt there is a training mission.

Yeah, I think a training mission would be pretty cool. And it even makes sense! I hope there is but at the same time, I sorta doubt it because I can't really see Bungie putting a training mission in, but let's hope!

Mythical Group There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.
Why would we have a training mission, though? We haven't had one since the first game.
Posted by: Phoenix9508Why would we have a training mission, though? We haven't had one since the first game.Halo 3 had a training mission. It was very subtle though. The parts where you had to jump onto higher ledges and flank the enemy served as a good training session.
Posted by: L3377MA573RPosted by: Duxfever88Posted by: L3377MA573RThey'd have to include the "Look up and down. Good. Invert Controls? Y/N" so that makes sense. That sounds awesome. Plus, Superintendent could do it with Rookie.Would you mind me quoting your last sentence out of context?Lmao xDIt would be cool to have a training mission.

Posted by: nuchyin the bungie podcast they said something like "oh i was just enjoying odst and going through the training mission of odst, and then i played reach and then firefight and then i played our secret game no one knows about yet" lol that was sarcasm but it drives me crazy when they say things like that. anyways there will be like a pre mission training course like COD4's maybe. post your ideas of one if you want. one thing is for sure there WILL be a training mission in the ship, and there is some kind of obstacle course. probably you have to get to your pod and for some reason there is some faulty robots you have to destroy

Posted by: hal0man88Posted by: nuchyin the podcast they said it was like an obstacle course. that would be cool. or like a simulation room. that would awesome. but yeah something will be there. When I think Obstacle course, I think back to the original half-Life's. I don't think it would be that involved though. The only for sure thing is "look at the orange lights so they turn green" training that we get with every Halo. Edit: here's how I think it will play out.1st- do the vision thing and adjust if you want.2nd- test out the VISR mode and get aquainted with your new HUD.3rd- Drop into Hell.umm, i dont remember looking at any lights in halo 3
