My apologies if these have been brought to attention in past threads.

1. If carrying a turret makes MC slower, how is a (somewhat) regular human able to carry one around and still be able to jump, ect.?

2. How are their melees strong enough to take down a Brute's shields or kill anything?

I realise it's sometimes best to sacrifice a bit of cannon for gameplay (see Halo Wars), but the whole strength issue has been weighing on my mind.

do not think, do

1. It's a game. Deal with it.

2. It's less powerful than a Spartan's melee. Answer 1 applies.

It's a -Blam!- game

1. The regular humans you play as will be slower than Master Chief in the first place, so they would probably just go hella slow with a turret.

2. You have to remember that the regular humans and Master Chief both hit with the gun instead of their fists (with the exception of the Plasma Pistol of course), so the melees should be at least a little similar.

1.Ever think of some mechanism in the armor helping him pick it up. Pulleys can do that.

2.Shields or not, getting hit in the face with a gun would -blam- hurt.

The whole "ignore this inconsistancy even though we call it part of the Haloverse" thing is getting old. I looked the other way when the books didn't really add up 100%. Then I had to look away from numerous things in Halo 2&3. Then there was Halo Wars.......

Honestly, whats the point of fleshing out the world with novels and comics and history and science if you are going to be so inconsistant with your products...?

EDIT: I'm not putting down Halo as a game . It's still the best shooter you can find. It's just getting a bit rediculous.

Because they're not THAT heavy. Current-day turrets would slow MC down, in 500+ years they're bound to get lighter. Bungie didn't realize it up until ODST though.

2. How are their melees strong enough to take down a Brute's shields or kill anything? They're weakened.
