Ok before I start my post I want to state that these are just my thoughts for what I believe Bungie should incorparate into Halo Reach and this is coming from a Competitive Gamer.

First off Bungie needs to forget the "casual gamer" because the "casual gamer" forgot them when CoD4 was released. Stop making halo for average people, if the fans are loyal which I have been since the beginning of the series than they aren't going anywhere. Take halo back to when it required skill not just melees, equipment, and luck.

Armor:
I think armor should have a purpose other than looking cooler than another. Every set of armor should have it's ups and downs to using it.

Weapons:
The defualt weapon should be a monster at all ranges not just two, like the current version of the BR. And if not that then have something in-game to be able to modify the weapon for that gametype.
Or give us the option to create weapons like an advanced Forge for weapons.

Maps:
Give us an advanced forge like that of Far Cry. It might not be user friendly but if the person really wants to do something they'll learn. Forge on Halo 3 allowed for many amazing maps but with a Forge like that of Far Cry would allow for so much greater creations. It might not be great for Bungie's income because no one would by DLC but they could put an annual cost on it like Bungie Pro.

MatchMaking:
First, Bungie needs to work on host issues because it gets fustrating when people eat bullets. Either get severs to host games and stop wasting Money on Render to Video because a capture card is alot less expensive. If they can't do that atleast have a search by Region feature so the people are close and the host is good.

Close-Quarter Combat:
Something other than just hitting someone with a gun would be Nice.

Sorry if the topics seem at random but I typed as they came to me. These are just my thoughts because I'm tired of Halo taking a backseat to CoD when Halo is 1000 times better. Bungie can go so far with Halo, they just need to stop making games for "casual gamers" because casual gamers want a "pick up and be good at" game which Halo isn't. Halo is a game of skill and talent and Bungie needs to start incorparating that back into their games.

Halo is the best game so far, but Reach needs to be the best Game Ever. Discuss and post your ideas.

Long Live Bungie =)

well for armor if armor actualy did somthing then the people with no life that had the best armor would pwn all the people who just wanted it for multiplayer. For wepons if they did somthing like that only like CoD and for custum games only. Halo is differnt then CoD for that main reson, you have to find your wepons not chose them. Maps that would be nice but it isnt some island or random place in Africa, the maps are vary diffrent and I just dont see all those options in the game. For machmakeing all they have to do is solve the host thing so ya. for meele you dont have time to bust out your nife in real life, hit somone and put it back, besides your a spartan.

PEANUT-BUTTER SLAP!

So you think Bungie should abandon the casual crowd, which hugely outnumbers the hardcore fans for the sake of "loyalty"? That's a great idea! On another note, I think TV networks should stop airing sporting events, because the hardcore fans are in the stadiums watching the game in person.

Yes....I like to camp..

I agree with you on everything except for the forge topic. Alot of Halo's buyers are casual gamers. With out the process of making a map being simple, many players will loose interest and stop playing.Moving on to that DLC topic you were talking about....Not every one will get a Bungie Pro Subscription. Why raise the price? Then even less people will subscribe. Money doesn't grow on trees. But over all i think you have got it all down.

If Bungie does make "drastic" changes to the forge type, I'll still stay loyal to the mighty BUNGIE.

the reason halo is such a good game is because anybody can play. that gives bungie more money to make another better game for everyone. and they did branch off with a more skilled game that is halo wars

Ok the armor would be unlocked by achievments jet like in Halo 3 so it's possible for everyone to get it.

Also anyone can do anything they want but not everyone can be good at it and that's why people move on to simpler games because lossing isn't fun

On forge they could have normal like in Halo 3 and advanced like what you would buy as DLC so the casual gamer can still make thier ok maps but thier are people out thier with great map ideas sandbox can't contain

The weapon idea is to edit weapon machanics not start off with them

By Casual Gamers I mean the people that bought Halo and when CoD and other FPS's came out they moved on. Not the infection fanatics such as the majority of the people that posted on here. Halo is a video game, Video games die out because of issues or new games, Sports don't so that comparison is entirely irrelivent so before so post something to sound like a cool kid think for a second.

I play MLG so my ideas will differ from many of yours because that community doesn't typically post here. Many of you might post on here more than I do but I can almost garantee I play this Game more than you do.

I am a Halo fan till I die and I think bungie should stop paying attention to the casual gamer becaus they are easily bored with a game after awhile and unfortunatly Bungie can't crank out a new halo every year like treyarch and infinity ward with the CoD series.

Just because I mentioned CoD doesn't mean I want bungie to turn halo into CoD. I hate CoD with a burning pasion because it get more recognition because it appeals to simple minded people (like some that posted here without think because they're too cool) while halo takes skill.

If you are a true fan of halo you wouldn't have been offended by anything I said above pertaining to halo. Stop with the sarcasm when all I'm trying to do is give ideas to make the game even greater than it already is because for as much as you think your making sense, your just looking stupid

Lastly with those ideas I had. It would keep the game new and fresh for years to come so yeah it would still appeal to the casual gamer

think and read before you post, If not get some hooked on Phonicks so you won't look so stupid =)

And as far as Halo Wars goes, Microsoft was behind it not Bungie. If bungie was behind it don't you think it would also have a forum on here like EVERY other bungie game is. I play FPS's not RTS's. RTS take thought not skill, anyone could build a USNC fortress, few can land a four shot =)
