So full of hate were our eyes that none of us could see
Our war would yield countless dead but never victory.
So let us cast our arms aside and like discard our wrath
Thou, in faith, will keep us safe, whilst we find the path

Was there something I missed in Halo 3? yes, playing as the Arbiter, not with the arbiter as in Halo 2.
Those side missions gave a better understanding how it all worked, without them, you wouldn't have a clue about the human-elite alliance, they cast a light how the covenant hierarchy worked.
It would be a nice change to play as an elite, brute or a grunt for a while, and if you could, it would be easy to make brutes playable in multiplayer aswell, although I have no idea how to make this with their armor work... maybe if they died when they lost it? lets say they had a secret pacemaker in it.

Well, with two sides it would be 2 times more story, or atleast 1.5 times more :P I don't know how you deal with story units, but in my opinion it would be both a bigger game and more fun.

Covie mission FTW, personally I prefer the arbiter to the chief. Covenant missions would allow us to see how the covenant work and fight against the humans(which we never got to do in H2).

I would rather we have all-Spartan missions, so that we can have a more cohesive story. Maybe include a Covenant half to every major cinematic (like in my script?), possibly some unlockable missions, and maybe a Covenant expansion similar to ODST, where you play as an Elite.

-blam!- GTFO OF MY SIGNATURE

I liked how Halo 2 played out, because it showed two sides of the story. Even though we didn't get to kill any humans, we had a nice long look into the Covenant thanks to Halo 2.

Maybe it wouldn't neccaserily be one big campaign, there could possibly be 2 campaign, you could select campaign on the menu the there would be a choice to do covenant or UNSC(Like there SHOULD have been in halo wars)! I think that would be awesome!
If not then somebody needs to make an entire halo game based on playing as the covenant!!

Stop advertising it so much...

I think it might happen but I don't really want it.

Let there be light, created from fire

I am all i am, i am a team player(when im not pissed), i make great strategies, i will punch you in the face after armor locking, you have to be at sniper distance to not get headshot by my DMR or pistol, wraiths beware, i am DxXOrangesXxD and i am ready to rumble! (When Halo 4 comes out cause Reach is nothing but crap players now)

im all for this idea and its already been typed into the final version of my list

Why? It pertains to the topic at hand. Maybe someone would wonder what a half Covenant, half UNSC cinematic could look like. I have plenty of examples in my script. So I linked it.

(-_-) Bored Face

The Arbitor's missions were badass and I think mainly against the flood. Love to play with him again.

Playing as an Elite spec-ops killing ODSTs and Marines would make my day.

I am of an open mind and I am willing to hear criticism. Also: That's stupid and you're stupid.

I like this idea, but I would rather two separate Campaigns. It got annoying switching back and forth.

Maybe like Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, 2 full separate stories, and then a final combined act where you have both main characters.

WoW is like Girls Gone Wild without the tits: idiots and douches taking turns doing anything to get noticed, and no one knows what a condom looks like.

Sorry to state the obvious, but Reach is about Spartans dieing. If Bungie does a good job with the story, I doubt most people will be happy to play as the people(?) that just killed someone as dear to you as Master Chief. Maybe it's just me. But it would totally ruin the feel of the game. It would be like, one minute you are fighting off impossible odds, the next, you already know you've won but just need to kill 5 guys. Sorry but Covie missions wouldn't work with the plot.

YES! YES! Playing as the Arbiter in Halo 2 was MUCH more fun than the Chief.

I also missed playing as the Arbiter in Halo 3, but i think that in Halo: Reach, it would work better to have two campaigns, rather than the Halo 2 style campaign

we should play as the arbiter before he becomes the arbiter.

I don't think we're getting Covenant missions. The main thing of Reach is having multiple spartans.

Yeah, seriously stop linking people to your script, it doesn't offer any info at all you just made it up.

I'd like it to be like Halo: CE and Halo: 3 where you played as one person the whole game changing perspectives, it gets confusing and doesn't really let you connect with a characters especially if its a bunch of people.
