I think that there should be an option that doesn't allow nonmembers to make Guest Entries in Groups. I think it really is unnecessary. If they are not in a group, they really can't post a comment of whether they like it or not and have it valid. Sometimes, people just go advertising their groups in Guest Entries anyways - whether being part of or not part of the group. I wish we had an option like that.

I tried right now to edit the nonmember role so he/she couldn't make a guest entry, but it didn't work.

Maybe your group is just jacked up. Let me know what group so I can see what the hell the problem is.

Guest entry is a non-member resource allowed to let you know that someone is intrested. However if you don't like the message an admin can simply delete the thread. Lets say worst case scenerio the Spammer paid a visit and posted the message This group -blam- sucks don't -blam- join this -blam- groupThe solution is simple. copy his name and manually enter it in the blacklist via the blacklist managment tool in the admin tools In the home subnavbar in your group. Don't put in an eperation date if you don't want him comming back. After that simply delete the message and he won't be able to even see the home page let alons keep spamming the guestbook.
