I think that there is a chance that we could see new armor variants included in Halo 3: ODST.

Here is my explanation:

Bungie has stated that they are not currently capable of adding new armor variants to Halo 3 because of the fact that there is currently no way to make armor DLC. This is mainly because they did not code the game as such. However, with ODST having a separate disc, it may be possible to add new armor variants into the game. The new armor would only be available to those who own ODST, however, in order to make the armor view the new armor, they could release a patch to Halo 3 to allow these new armor variants to be viewed. If that is not possible, they could release a patch that makes the new armor variants appear as the default Mark VI armor.

I also think that they could add new vehicles to ODST. to the best of my understanding the 2nd half of the Mythic map will only be available to those who own ODST. This means that they could have map-specific vehicles such as elephants to the new maps. Remember that ODST's multiplayer disc has all of the maps saved onto it, so it would be possible to code these new vehicles into the game. If the new maps are available via XBL however, this would still be possible. They have added slightly new vehicles into the game, such as the Transport Hornet. Although this would be more difficult to archive.

Please comment and share you opinion, but KEEP IT CLEAN

"BAM" said the lady...

I'm sorry the new armor everyone wants will not be added to ODST, Simple because it costs to my time and money the it's not worth it.

The vehicles I'm sorry won't happen either, do the degree that there might be a transport hog which you can carry people in.
This patch your talking about that would fix it to the other ppl is not gonna be reality either for the same reason as the armor change.

Also check the FAQ for more info on vehicles

I believe armour varients will come around in the form of downloadable content, and, at a price. most likely pushed by microsoft to squeeze more money out of the franchise.

Yeah, because I'd love to have an Elephant on Heretic...

Life is not a journey to the grave, with the intension of arriving safely.

New armour cant appear in matchmaking. if new armour was added to the odst disk, the players using the halo 3 disk would not have access to the data. therefore, they would not be able to see the armour. there would be no armour code to replace it so it would not work.

Also, there will be no dlc armour as that section of the game cannot be modified as stated by bungie.
