Subject: Some ideas for "Capture the Flag" in Halo: Reach.

You're reasoning is so illogical beings there is an option in halo 3 to change the speed of the flag carrier upon picking up the flag thus eliminating your whole complaint as you stated "just don't slow the player down while he/she is holding the flag" tho that's not the case it would still seem that it would help but the fact is "dribbling" isn't a glitch its more of a tactic and after doing it so much people would find themselves doing it regardless of they're walking speed as its they're nature when playing. So no matter what "dribbling" will be a part of halo.

Who cares? You can get in there and intercept it can't you? Just shoot the guy like you would normally. I think it's be cool to have a four way CTF game.

They had four-way CTF in H2 Multi Team (CTF Classic on Warlock) and it was amazing.

On topic, I think flag-running should be included. I think an in-game narration toggle would be good. Honestly, I think that Bungie should keep the settings as they are and just add new ones to compensate for our wants.

Idea #1: Include Auto Objective Pickup as a Controller Setting.
Idea #2: Include an option for Pickup delay, but do not make it standard.
Idea #3: Make an extended throw possible.

i.e. be able to throw an objective item ~5 meters, but have an adverse effect similar to being kicked out of a vehicle (slow for ~3 seconds, higher gravity)

#4 Do not make an option for penalizing someone for throwing the flag / objective off the map, just make the "out of area" respawn time an option.

ie Objective Play Time: Instant / 5 sec / 10 sec / 30 sec

to be edited in ~1 hour

I want touch return and flag must be at home to score by default. No flag dribbling like you said.

Haters are going to hate.
Praisers are going to praise.

The Bungie Forums are what keeps my mind sharp and my fingers active, between writing my own movie scripts, drawing, and studying industrial design. At the moment I'm working on miniatures for a short movie that I'll hopefully be able to film once I've saved up for a camera... That's me, with the mug, trying to have a conversation with Konoko.

Approaching the subject a bit strong are we? Of coarse I know that one can change the flag carriers speed in custom games, but thats not what Im talking about, not even remotely. Id want to be able to play a game in matchmaking which is as well made as possible, not having to tune every option so that annoying things as "flag dribbling" doesn't accur. However, seeing that people seem to love the bloody glich, or "tactic" as you put it, I'll just have to live with it.

Speaking of options, how about being able to -as someone already said- customise the narratior?

Btw, must every other poster argue so damn violenlty? Calm down a bit will you. Also, there are many more things to discuss in the subject of Capture the Flag then just "flag dribbling".

@ hC Mercury
You mentioned being able to change how long one could throw the flag , how about using it as a spear?

My intentions were not to seem harsh it just came out that way i just didnt see the point behind your argument it would have made more sense to me if you would have sated that you think bungie should make that standard in matchmaking.

How about these ideas for CTF?

-Touch return to actually be touch return like in Halo 1 and 2. This applies to all objective gametypes.
-Bring back the objective toss.
-There should be an option for the objective carrier to drive vehicles, like in Halo 1 and 2.
-Neutral flag should return
