I wanted continue my -blam!-gery but I want to answer this simply with yes. But since this is a prequel, its unlikely.

No. The Covenant is fine the way it is.
The UNSC already has eight species to worry about.

They could add new Covenant enemies without rocking the boat too much. The easiest way to add new enemies is to chuck in new vehicles and weapons, effectively creating new enemies. New tactics and variants of existing enemies (such as Hunters) would be awesome.

Plus if Reach explores the Forerunner ruins there can be all sorts of new Sentinels and Enforcers, Forerunner weaponry etc.

Exactly, the same way Bungie gave us the "Buggers". Just sneak them in.

  • 07.11.2009 6:57 PM PDT

i think the Covenant are just fine however more flexibly is in order, like drones and hunters with different weapons.

groud sentinels and more sentinel weapons, UNSC weapons and covenant weapons. By new covenant i'd be ok with new types but what I'd be hoping for and more plausible is new Elite classes, maybe elites without shields but travel in packs, and elites with shields travel with grunts.

They've had new species all along its just they never released them but they weren't necessarily characters that you would fight. Like the Keel bug, the Drenol and the weird tentacle type alien that took apart machinery and saved it for the coventant. I'm pretty sure that one was in the first Halo book

Why don't they just introduce deleted species, such as the Drinol? That'd be sweet to play against.

It'd be interesting to see the Engineers, though they don't take part in combat. Other than them, I don't think there will be any new races.

  • 07.11.2009 7:21 PM PDT

-blam!- Was that actually blammed out? Or did I just type it? You'll never know.

I'm hoping to see new ones. I don't know how they'll work them in though since the Covenant's races have already been defined. Although... Drinol FTW!!!

I believe Bungie created a species that held his gun in his abdomen, and was ables to scale trees. It was used for jungle combat and urban warfare. Sadly it was scrapped.

I think they should put in the "boss battle they removed from halo 3" For those who didn't know bungie removed a Campaign level named Guardian Forest who at the end you face a Giant Sentinel as well as New types of Sentinels that when killed provide you will a new weapon.

  • 07.16.2009 6:44 AM PDT

I agree that more sentinal units are needed but the covenant species are fine, perhaps bringing in some of the vehicles from halo wars would work well though.

Were you by any chance drunk or high while you were playing Halo 1?

Why don't people understand love
:CCCCCCCCCCC

I would love to see new enimies to make campaign mode more diverse and less repetitive but that can easily be by changing the way the brutes behave. Apparently there is mention of a speies in the books that is never seen in campaign in any of the Halo games so there could be a chance we'll see it once or twice in Reach.

He was talking about the OLD Halo CE that was like an RTS or whatever before bungie made it a FPS.

Any new enemy would be awesome, something really tough would be cool though.

But he's not. In the original trailers for Halo:CE there was dinosaurs on Halo, but they were scrapped.

I would like to be able to fight egineers or be able to drive the locust and vampires from halo wars. Bungie could make a new race and just have them all be wiped out before the halo CE.
