Im thinking we could use some kind of subway system or garbage truck to get from place to place. I think it would be a good idea to ride on a mongeese with twin chainsaws attached to either side. :D DECAPATATION.

Fight to Live, Live to Fight.

Would be cool for Bungie to give us a rough estimate? :D?

  • 07.20.2009 8:17 AM PDT

this helps to give an idea as to how large the playable city is (there's 3 pages)

  • 07.20.2009 8:54 AM PDT

I'ma beam them up.

It's as big as you imagine it to be.

My troll sense is tingling.

Well in an interview I saw they were showing gameplay and skipped part of it to go to a mission saying "We don't to spend half an hour walking" And from what I saw they were half-way there.

*New thought*!!!!! The amtrack from that Halo 2 map, what was it? The one with the bullet train that kills you if you stand on the tracks.

i remember that map!! o the joy of getting 2 teammates in a hog and driving on the tracks while the train was coming.... only on social tho

In a demo on ign, joe staten said that the objective was a kilometer away and to save time, they just skipped ahead to that location. The city is probably large enough that you have to spend some time fighting your way toward objectives, but not too much time. The whole free-roam city thing was probably added to get away from the monotony of moving on a set path

Kind of hard to see but hopefully this whole area on the hologram is explorable.

In the E3 demo video, Joe shows the map of the city and it is big.

Well, not big in comparison to actual free roam games but it still looked like a good enough size.

Nice. I think it will be the size of 1/2 the Capital Wasteland. Or maybe just the Downtown D.C. Area...

each one of the districts has a different flash back

Does that mean it will be big or small? Either way, the map looks like an explorer's dream...

I want to say twice as big as Point Lookout, or 1/2 of the Capitol Wasteland.

I'd say that's about right.
