The second disc IS Halo 3 and it doesn't have any connection to ODST at all besides that it comes with the box. So to answer your question, yes it will be the Halo 3 menu.

The second disc says:

Matchmaking
Custom Games
Forge
Theater

No "Campaign" or "Resume Solo Campaign" options.

No, because then they would have to charge for the full Halo 3 game price, too.

ya but then u keep haveing to switch back and forth discs just to play halo 3 campaign

  • 07.11.2009 10:38 PM PDT

and halo 3 is only 40 dollars new now so it would be like paying for halo 3 and 20 bucks for odst and thats 60

I don't think it will be the same menu. The menu of Halo 3 was campaign themed. There is no longer a campaign. The menu will have a multiplayer theme. Such as a Spartan, and Elite, game objectives?

Not quite.

averaged out, ODST is about:
$30 for DLC (Free)
Original $40 for ODST disc

Why would we pay $20 for a game that was priced at $40 and upped to $60?

If Halo 3 is $40, and so was ODST, that would be $80, minimum. You're talking $100 if the full Halo 3 disc was included, as ODST is now $60, and Halo 3 is $40. ($60+$40=$100.)

I would like to see a Bungie Employee Spartan, wearing Flaming Helmet (Bungie Top), and Recon shoulders & Helmet, standing next to a Full Hayabusa with Katana Spartan.

the only reason why they priced up to 60 is because the full 24 maps were included..they could of easily put in a code for the new 3 maps in the box of odst like they did with mythic maps and halo wars but they new how hyped odst was and they wanted full money cause they new it would sell so they added all maps and raised the price.

No, they also did it because of the whole second disc, full theater, and Firefight was larger than expected. Bungie Employees say "we upped the price for a lot of reasons" a ton, in their podcasts, interviews, etc.

well i wouldnt think it would be that hard to copy and paste the halo 3 campaign on disc 2 but i dont know for sure...it would make it a whole lot less frusterating than having to switch the disc just for the campaign
