it lost credibilty when I read "up to 30 000 characters".
dead rising 2 will have 6 thousand zombies onscreen at the same time at maximum, and I believe no games have ever come any closer than this. I mean, the console came out like 4 years ago, you can't expect SO MUCH out of it. even on a top notch pc, it'd barely be possible.

Its doesn't mean it will 30k chars while your playing. It just means it can render 30k, while your playing is a totally different piece of pie. At least that's what i think....

IDK maybe in some of the Cinematic cutscenes it will have 25k Covie attacking a city with 5k marines trying to hold them off untill they get air support from the Long Sword's

there's another problem :
these things are for DX11. the 360 can not even handle DX10... so don't even think about 11.

where's the proof xbox 360 cannot handle DX11? maybe they haven't been able to use with dev kits up till now because of the low ram (512 mb). New dev kits will have 1 g of ram this will allow developers to make better games because of the increased ram.

the reason why crysis will never come out on the 360 is because it'd have to use DX9 instead of 10 (and crysis was supposed to use DX10, not 9).
so, I think it's logical and safe to assume that since it can not handle DX10, then it won't be able to handle DX11.

it's like if your computer couldn't run a game, but it'd be possible to run the sequel to the same game.

also, guys.... you realize there's no proof reach will use DX11, right? there are only speculations.

Which wouldn't make any sense whatsoever, seeing as how the beta is for the 360.

I'm not suggesting that a new 360 will be made the new dev kits have more ram so tat they can optimize game production for the 360 adding more ram will allow them to use debuggers and other dev software with out interfering with the game allowing for better quality games its all in here

maybe this extra ram will allow it to run direct x 11

They are not saying it will use DX11, but that it will use a technology that is similar to the technology going in to DX11.

There is a huge difference.

the fact that Devkits have 1GB is pretty irrevelant, the reason for that is because 99% of the time unfinished and in-development games are run on them, and those un-finished games have more bugs and preformance issued than finished games so the more ram helps it to handle any bugs/ preformance issued better than on a retail console, which is expecting optimised and complete games

oh and extre ram would not allow it to run DX10 it is a GPU and graphics card issue

Explains why Crysis 2 is coming to 360....oh wait

do research before trying to sound smart.
crytek developped a console specific engine called cryengine². it's a light cryengine, with less horsepower. it's more or less as good as crysis on medium settings.
it is also NOT required to have DX10 to run cryengine2, that's why crysis 2 will come on ps3 and 360 but crysis will never be on console.
