Daodan Latency at 65%

Like I have said before, with the way the engine is setup right now that is impossible. Also, the map structure between halo 1, halo 2, and halo 3 are totally different, making them not compatible with the methods they use. You cannot take the netcode from halo 3 and paste it into Halo 1, you would need to rewrite the whole thing to work correctly.

I've also had some random freezing from scripted events.

The only problem is that in system-link if one of players gets loaded the game will go out of sync. So both players need to go through at the exact same time for it to work.

In that case you are modding how the game engine handles map files, which is very very different from how co-op would work on PC halo. With the xbox, you have one person connect to the other's xbox game. I guess it is theoretically possible you could recreate the singleplayer maps for LAN play, but you have to deal with de-syncing with AI, scripts, and machine tags like doors and switches. Halo PC has no ability to make multiplayer teams with AI. You would have to make the maps in custom edition and convert them to PC and hope it worked.

I think online co-op at this point is almost impossible. You have a higher chance of getting local splitscreen co-op. Even then, since Microsoft no longer supports Halo 1 PC, you have pretty much 0 chance of getting another update for Halo 1. Even another update for Halo 2 Vista is highly unlikely as well. In fact, not even Halo 3 is getting anymore new updates with the exception of 3 new maps (Citadel, Heretic, and Longshore). So if Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 won't get anymore updates, then you can just forget about any updates for games older than Halo 3. The only way there is going to be a new update is if it's an emergency such a fatal flaw in the game causes your computer to explode or something. Then a major update would be required.
