The internet is a bad place.

I use online guides like IGN or GameFAQs.
Doesn't cost a penny.

Don't upset Achronos or you'll end up with a dog's head in a jar in your mailbox.

The fight has been complete.... now get the cookies!

While we certainly share your enthusiasm for the return, we here at the Bungie.net community are mostly made up of snarky asses and jerks who will ridicule you for making a thread about something revealed months ago. We regret that your innocent intentions will almost certainly be replied with anger and sarcasm, and politely invite you to don your Flame-suit, because you just did the internet equivalent of jumping up the Construct lifts.

A strategy guide? For a video game? For Halo? One of the easiest and funnest games to play?

But it has cool pics! Lol. Buying the Halo guide has been tradition for me since Halo 2. I know that's just two games, but I like doing it.

Nah. Typically for a Halo game, I have to do stuff by myself. The only times I ever buy Strategy Guides are when I used to play Pokemon.

Hey guess what!? I play CoD more than Halo, but I'm not an annoying fanboy. I love CoD more, but I like how involved the Halo Community is...

I wish I was still legendary.

I got the halo 2 one after winning the game, then tried playing through to its strategies. Not the greatest idea; when a book says 'use an energy sword to kill hunters!' and then using one on them at least 20 times, on easy, does nothing, you get a bit worried.

In other words, I'm not getting it because the books are absolutely useless and aren't needed beyond a convenient map of the level anyway.

ROBOHOG IS VERY BRILLIANT AND STUFF.

No. Why? Because it's a book telling you how to play a game you already know how to play.

You gotta aim for their orange bits :) If i remember correctly, it was a one-hit-kill with a sword if you hit them in their orange midsection.

did that, from behind. I must just suck =(.

Meh, it's still useless when they tell you stuff that's completely untrue about enemies and which guns are best against them.

The one main thing that i find useful about strategy guides is those maps they give you with thigns like weapons spawns etc. on them...I mean on Tsavo Highway, i had no idea that at Checkpoint Alpha (or just after that Covenant Cruiser flys over your head hwen you exit that tunnel) if you take a right instead of a left towards the enemies then you can backpedal ontop of that little "bridge" thing you walk under and there's a sniper up there...VERY useful

I trued that, but Iailed. I remember that snipers were one hit kills, not energy sword.

The Mythic Threads (Halo 3) (ODST) (Reach)

I've never read any strategy guide, probably won't do it for ODST either. Whatever is written in it, I'll find out from other people who've read it.

I'll think about getting the strategy guide if the price goes down, or just wait until my brothers are foolish enough to buy it themselves. The internet has great guides, but you can't carry the internet around with your Xbox 360.
