Subject: Should Spartans be able to wear less steriotypical clothing?

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

I like to picture a Spartan in a tuxedo t-shirt because it says I want to be formal, but I'm here to party...

I like to picture a Spartan with big ol' eagle wings singing Lynard Skynard, with like an angel band. . .

I like to think of a Spartan as a mischievous badger...

I like to think of a Spartan like some kinda changling, like on the show Manimal. . .

But perhaps, Spartans would like to be viewed in a different way, a way that doesn't define them as a bloodthirsty killer but as a more casual, laid back look.

But that's the problem, Spartan II's are never laid back. Always no jokers, no nonsence.

Not entirely true, they have been known to lay back slightly, and even have inside jokes and means of showing affection, it's not the same as typical people, more subtle. Something that needs to be kept in mind is that these guys were trained since childhood, literally raised in the military. Time and time again having it driven into their heads what honor means, and how they are the best hope for humanity. I highly doubt that any of them would prefer khaki's to their armor, point in fact there have been a few instanced where Spartans are out of their armor, and they feel very naked without it.

The acception being Kurt, but there was reason for that.

I think it would be cool if you started as a Spartan without armor, then you received it near the end to beat a big boss or something. (hopefully not another Guilty Spark battle)

I never killed a man that didn't need killing.

The Spartans do have regular uniforms, they wore them during the funeral for the Spartans who died after Augmentation. And since John 117 is a Navy Master Chief he is supposed to have Khaki uniforms. And he should have a Master Chief Rank insignia on his Armor.

Thats one thing that annoyed me in the The Fall of Reach is the Spartans never even taking off their helmets or Mjolnir armor. Theres one part of the book where the Captain Keyes goes to talk to the Spartans after they come onboard the The Pillar of Autumn. As he talking to them, no one takes off their helmets or Armor. It seemed disrespectful. Plus I know any captain I ever had would insist on seeing your face when he addressed you.

In the games is one thing, Bungie never showed MCs face because they wanted the Player to project himself into the role of Master Chief. So him wearing the MJOLNIR during the awards ceremony on Cairo Station seemed logical.

But in reality the Spartans probably wouldnt wear the Armor if they werent in Combat. The Goddamn things weigh 1000 lbs, How could they sit down and eat lunch? Plus the unforms would stink after a while, the Spartans have to shower sometime.

There are two things on this forum that piss me off;
Idiots and group invites.
What's even worse, is that I can never seem to get away from either of them ¬_¬

Or maybe you should rethink your life. Open your eyes, free your mind and reach the paradise that only the truly creative and imaginitive can.

Since we first laid eyes on Halo we say Master Chief in his trademark green bulky Mark V amour. You can't deny the powerful felling it brings and the badassness that runs through your hands whilst wearing your military issued high-tech suit. But perhaps, Spartans would like to be viewed in a different way, a way that doesn't define them as a bloodthirsty killer but as a more casual, laid back look. I would like my Spartan to wear khakis. It sounds silly at first, but maybe a more serious, businessman look would make Master Chief a more likable character and allow me to connect and enjoy my game. Please Bungie, consider my request and truly make this the best game it can be.

It doesn't matter if the armour is Mark V, Mark IV or Mark X.... the armours WILL not look like the ones we know, thats for sure

lmao. khakis? what would happen whenever the chief took fire to his leg area? there go his freshly dry cleaned khakis

Changing amour in Halo 3 didn't make any difference in multilayer, so various types of clothing shouldn't affect the amount of damage I take.

can u tell me how khakis would generate the mastersheif's sheild, or absorb the impact from a bullet or plasma round,

No, I can't

well if u cant have sheilds coming from those legendary khakis of yours then you are not playing halo, you are playing call of duty's ugly sister

Im pretty sure the reason Spartans exist(in halo) ,is to end life.
