Will odst be optimized to be installed on to the hard drive?.... or will it have to be played straight off the disk? Also the same goes for Firefight. Will that be optimized or is that in the same boat?

I vaguely remember someone saying that it has been improved so it can be put onto the hardrive but I can't remember exactly. I'm not going too just in case

I think this was in one of the recent weekly updates, because I remember that as well.

Why did they recommend H3 not to be installed??

  • 07.13.2009 11:02 AM PDT

Laggy for the online play and not good for match making.

Since It's only campaign, and no DLC has come out for it, I bet you can. But wait............Firefight.......... should we DL it to our harddrive?!?!

I can't really think of the point of making a game disk downloadable in the first place (besides letting your friends download it). I mean can anyone be that lazy as to actually not want to walk over to his xbox and put the disk in?

You still need to have the disc in the disc drive in order to play the game. Installing it to the hard drive is just supposed to make the load times faster, your xbox quieter, you know stuff like that.

What's hot, sexy and purple?

Ayane (and the Wraith :-D)

Because the Halo 3 Disk in ODST is a 1:1 build from the multiplyer part of Halo3, just on a seperate disc...with the same "flaws".

No problem

In this great future you cant forget your past

but will firefight (if installed on the HD) boot from the second multiplayer disc?

Q. You told us not to use NXE to copy Halo 3 to the Xbox 360 hard drive. You fixed that for Halo 3: ODST, right?

A. Yup. Well, I didn't. Mat Noguchi and a crew of awesome dudes did. Awesome. Dudes. You'll be able to copy the Halo 3: ODST campaign disc directly to your hard drive if you want to. We still recommend that you do not do so with the secondary disc.

I would think most definitly. Halo 3 wasnt because they weren't aware of the future ability but ODST should surely be able to do it. The only reason it wouldn't be able to would be because ODST uses some of Halo 3.

I hope some how that they do something with the multiplayer that it CAN be installed on the HD. Fingers crossed.
