The idea is nice, but it would be too difficult for 75% of the community and Map Editors easier to make on the PC.

I just came to remind you that this game will be on xbox. Now I don't know what shinanigans you have going on at your place but my controller only has a few buttons, not a keyboard and mouse. Not to mention the lack of hardware you would need. Think, Bungie has like teams of, i'd guess 15 people or more working on a single map for like a couple monthes, so i dont think average joe could make a map with an xbox.

Knowing Microsoft, not going to happen. They already know Halo: Reach is going to sell well, so they won't include this feature, so that they may make money off of DLC.

To extensive. Halo maps are very large files, making it impractical to even consider.
