Actually firefight would be included with the 40 game price because it is included in the game. It is not a seperate feature. It was specifically made to ship with the game therefore, your math brings it to a 50$ value. Which is what I was asking for in the first place. See the way your looking at it, you are saying that you payed 10$ for the forge mode that was new to halo 3 which I dont think happened. Oh and thanks for actually contributing something worth discussing. See we get along better like this.well, think of it this way:
FireFight is an addition to ODST that was originally never going to be there.
the original ODST only had campaign. if that were the case, then i too would be pissed about it being 60 bucks.
but breaking it down like that is just justification for the pricing.
bottom line is, it's like Halo CE with MM added in a second disk.
don't believe me?
Halo CE had campaign, 2 player co-op, and four player split screen (multiplayer). no MM. sure, it had LAN play, but you needed to set that up beforehand.
ODST has campaign, 4 player co-op, four player split screen (firefight) and online 4 player capabilities (firefight). no MM, but it DOES have Halo 3's matchmaking.
Halo CE was 60 bucks. and ODST has more features than it did.
so going by that, 60 bucks is a fair price for the game.
EDIT: i take that back, it might have only been 50. i can't remember. but even if that's the case, ODST still has more features than CE did, and the 60 dollar price is still justified.
