Well there is a pretty good chance Reach will have a survival mode. So how can it become better then what other games have, or how can it be unique. ODST is pretty unique having vehicles and DropShips instead of randomly spawning enemies. But Reach should be better.

Here's a few ideas I think people will like!

Good or Bad Guy mode I think you should be able to play as a Spartan or Elite. There will be many changes between the two.
Spartan-You fight covenant, Dropped down by Phantoms and Spirit drop ships. Elites, Grunts, Hunters, Brutes, (drones?) and Jackals, also vehicles.

Elite-You fight human soldiers, they come down in ODST pods or Pelicans. Spartans, ODST, Marines and Crew Members. And of course vehicles.

Optional Enemy Mode-Being able to control what type of enemy(s) you fight and what guns they use. So if you want all Elites with Plasma Swords you will get that, or only Hunters, or only Grunts with FRG's. Or everything but Brutes.

Friendly A.I Instead of only getting enemies, I think every few rounds you should get some allies.

Easy Mode-3-5 ODST every 1-2 rounds (3-5 Jackals)
Normal-3-5 Marines every 2-3 rounds (3-5 Grunts)
Heroic-1-2 Marines every 2-3 rounds (2-3 Grunts)
Legendary-1-2 Marines every 4-5 rounds. (1 Grunt)

Fun Options
Gravity options, speed options, custom skull choosing. Gravity will effect all things depending on how low or high. Max High=Plasma curves down, FRG's also, anything with an arc will curve down a lot. Low gravity does the opposite. Also vehicles will be effected I.E Wriaths might loose or gain range and accuarcy.

By the power of truth, I, while living, have conquered the universe.

ODST isn't even out yet and you're already telling Bungie how to improve it...?

Well, it's always been fun to play tower defense games, have one side be the "Towers" while the other side can be the "creeps".

I could just imagine that, 4 people with control of multiple allies and what they do with them to defend, and then 4 guys who control where, when and what attacks the defenders.

Join me and together we can beat the -blam!- out of little kids on halo 3 as friend and aquantence

i think that first off the ODST thing reach takes place before alot of spartans mainly this is taking place during while or before halo wars takes place and even then their were just marines their were no thought of an ODST in a spartan training facilaty and also ODST didnt even come out yet so we dont even know what Reach is all we know is that this is a game taking place as you being John 117, a.k.a. MasterCheif in a training process to become a spartan also from what it looks like in the famous pic Sgt. Johnson is part of this and for some reason one of the charactars in the pic looks like the armor on the front of fallout 3 so no one knows much about this game but im pretty sure its gunna be like halo 3 and not like ODST

I'd love to see Firefight evolve into a mode similar in fashion to Left 4 Deads Vs. Mode.

Imagine moving from location to location as a pack of ODSTs having to contend with increasing waves of covenant and some player controlled upper level special units.

Even if you arent moving from location to location (like safehouse to safehouse) it would still be interesting in one locale.

I'm running with a bunch of ideas on how it could work, but honestly my mind keeps summing it up as merely L4D with Halo.
