I would like to see the return of telefragging. I would also like to be able to exit teleporters the same way I enter them; when you enter a teleporter backwards, you should exit backwards as well.

Agreed. I don't know how this happened, but bungie managed to break teleporters in Halo 3. Teleporters.

i agree too. but i think the disign of teleporters should look different kind of like those gate things from stargate. players shouldnt be able to block teleporters. also there should be vehicle teleporters large enough for tanks to go through for those super large vehicle maps. and you should be able to see the other side of the teleporter and shoot through them too.

I doubt they will ever come back; one of the ViDocs for Halo 3 explained their reasoning for removing them, as well as introducing the man-cannons in their place .

Edit - did the teleporters really change your direction upon exiting them? I know that in Halo 1, or at least Halo PC, you always came out the way you were facing.

They have teleporters in Halo 3. In Halo 1/2, you came out the way you entered. In Halo 3, it reorients you so that you're always facing forward, throwing off your perception and allowing for easier behind-tele-camping-assassinations.

I am far more concerned with them fixing the current teleporters than I am with them reinventing them. I wouldn't have a problem with that ability, but I don't think teleporters should all have that. There are certainly some strategic advantages to being able to block them. Perhaps they could have both portals (with visibility of the other side, vehicle transport, and no blocking ability) and teleporters (as they are traditionally).

I can see the reasoning to some extent, but why limit themselves? Teleporters are a far more versatile means of transport, and certain maps just aren't possible without them. Man-cannons are essentially line-of-sight. Teleporters in maps like Sidewinder, Derelict, Wizard, and Chill Out simply couldn't be replaced with man cannons. It may be possible in other maps, but it could drastically change gameplay, depending on the map.
