Don't worry about "GrnDragn" guys. He uses excuses like "zomg i r gun laugh at u" when he can't muster up a good argument, and he flames people when they don't agree with him.

It'd be best not to feed him.

Uh oh, the flaming kid has arrived. Looks like people ran away before this got ugly now that Slegger arrived.

See what I mean, boys and girls? He says things like this when he can't come up with a good retort and/or argument. Quite sad, really. I don't know why you even bother arguing with people, when all you say is "z0mg i r laughing at u11!" Then, they reply to you, and you say again "loloolol0l0loollo i r luling at uuuuuzzzz11!1one"

Now, you're saying people are "running away because I'm here". Grow a pair, learn to defend yourself, then come back. Mmk?

as for not flaming people, i believe this is yours??

1. That was on a different thread.
2. I've had past history with that guy, a lot of history actually.
3. I was sticking up for other people, that guy is a plain douche and was walking over the people that were just discussing things normally.

Now, any other arguments you want to bring up?

I'd love to be a 10 year old and tell my mom I'm going on an adventure out into the world catching Pokemon, with her full support. Never mind the fact that there are rapists, criminals, and murders out there, or the fact that I may get killed by a Pokemon.

Luckily I have Pikachu.

You guys really are determined to tell us that we'll be sued or something.

Fact is: The games are in a box, in the back room on the 18th.
I walk in, get the game, go home and play it, if I choose to.
They can't do anything. It's only illegal if you put it on the shelves. We are not doing that. Trust me, I know more about this then you guys do.

As long as we, and the other people, don't put it out on the shelves, Microsoft not only can't do anything, but they won't know either.

The orange tape will clearly state that the game cannot be sold or opened before the 22nd of September.

Slegger, I know what you're saying with playing offline, but as soon as you sign in to XBL with your account you used to play ODST with, it updates your most recent games and it will show ODST there alongside your other recent games. Therefore microsoft will know that you played ODST early.

Hmm, maybe you're right. I guess I'll wait, then. I guess I can read the manual while I wait XD.

Also, a few of us were talking during matchmaking and Halo: Reach is definitely going to be, not a first person shooter, not a third person shooter, but a second person shooter. Bungie is going to revolutionize the way you watch other people play games.

As is always the case, The BS Police is correct. While there is realistically not a whole lot MS can do against employees who crack the cases open early and take home a copy for themselves, any store that actually sells a game early is looking to get screwed over. If a store put ODST on sale 4 days early they would have hell to pay, not to mention they would get blacklisted from receiving games early ever again.

*Sigh* When did I say we were going to sell Halo 3: ODST before the 22nd? Please stop repeating the same thing.

Loads of people play games on their home consoles before the official release date. PR guys, for example. Heck, the (former) Activision PR guy sent me copies of Guitar Hero 3, Tony Hawks and CoD4 weeks before they were released.

It's really not an issue on the consumer side... it's the shops that sell games early that get it in the neck.

I don't want to ruin your party but don't end up like the guy who got banned till the year 9999. He played Halo 3 before the the release date and was banned until 12/31/9999. Just a heads up for ya. If I could find the video I would link it.

Yeah I read that in some sort of record book.

EVERY game shipment comes in before release. Halo Wars came in about a week before its street date, same with Gears of War 2.

Same with movies. But all of us already know that.

Wielding a double-bladed chainsaw, wearing a potato sack on your head and spinning around mindlessly is amiably quick at getting anything done

You're not the only one getting it early.

Couldn't the game selling company get sued for doing that?

In a way you are publically broadcasting an easy million dollars for Bungie, and the end of a company.

  • 07.17.2009 3:11 PM PDT

well then guess you wont be playing it before me cause i will be getting on the 16th at midnight for the same reason you will be getting it on the 18th. i wont be showing spoilers either unless somebody wants a litttle "leak peak" then just let me know and i will make a private vid for you.

Isn't that a little bit illegal?

Yeah, i'm pretty sure the guy that sells it can get in trouble. But you can't get in trouble for buying it. Have fun playing it before everyone else, Jerk. :)
